@IAFF302 thank everyone for coming out today and celebrating the ribbon cutting of our new Allentown Fire Academy. The Kiskeravage family were in attendance to cut the ribbon and recieve a flag, flown above the U.S. Capitol for Chief Kiskeravage, from Rep. Susan Wild.

#IAFFLegCon Pa SB 144 moving favorably through the PA Sen. The bill Prohibits Class B Foam and more importantly it requires a warning label to be affixed to firefighter protective clothing. We need to protect our waterways but more so we need to protect our bloodstreams.

Last day of #ALTS23. Manufacters need to develope an alternative to PFAS for fire fighter gear. Start with limitting exposure to PFAS fire retardents. Re-evaluate Full bunker gear for all fire related calls. We can dress down to limit exposure.

1st day #ALTS23. Focusing on the the cancer causing PFAS chemical which is used in fire fighting gear. Fire fighters are experiencing higher rates of cancer and manufactures need to come up with alternatives. Being a Fire Fighter should not be a death sentence.
