Disappointed @RepMann and @RepRonEstes voted no on HR 82. Hope it wasn't voting by party lines, or didn't take time to research the bill. Would love to have an open discussion why you didn't support. Both of you posted support or veterans...many vets are police and firefighters

Thank you to @RepLaTurner and @RepDavids for voting yes on HR 82! Hopefully @DerekSchmidtKS will continue to vote the will of constituents and not just party lines. Many first responders and public safety are apolitical and bi-partisan.

@resolute77 We aren't affecting anyone's benefits, this just allows us to get what we paid in.

@resolute77 I think you're misunderstanding what this actually does. Short version, many police and firefighters work part time jobs, or had jobs before entering public service, that deducted SS. WEP prevents receiving full benefits because they receive a pension outside of SS.
