it's very simple:

high trust high empathy worldview creates the best possible civilization.

but it has a boundary condition: it only works when you are surrounded by high trust, high empathy people, the kinds of people who have thoughts like "what if everyone did what i am doing?" and "am i bothering/intruding upon/harming others?" and seeks to avoid doing so. people who bring back the shopping cart.

if you uphold that boundary, you get thriving and flourishing human civilization like no other.

but, if you surround with low trust takers and predators, the people who not only do not return the shopping cart but steal it, the ones who do not ask if they are in your way or hurt you or take your things and would not care if you said they did, the great cooperative asset becomes an endlessly exploited weakness and you get eaten alive.

it's not compatible. western civilization is the repeated non-defection in a vast multi sided prisoner's dilemma. as soon as you introuduce even a modest number of people who always defect, everyone has to live at the low equilibrium.

there is no "middle way." they people who are not like that do not want to be like that. they will not change if you just explain it again and be nicer. they just take more because they think you are a pushover.

What I'm about to tell you is shocking.

This sounds unreal, yet it happened in Sweden.

A person from Syria arrived in Sweden in 2014.

In 2017 he was convicted of horrible crimes.

He broke into a woman's home and assaulted and r*ped her.

He kidnapped another woman for 17 hours and r*ped her.

What he did has been described as t*rture.

He was sentenced to 4.5 years prison.

But, upon review in 2021, the court found that he supposedly was a minor when he did the crimes.

Therefore, the court ruled that he had spent too long in prison because he was sentenced as an adult originally.

Sweden therefore paid him almost $88.000 in compensation for having been "too long" in prison.

Meanwhile the two women only got $23.500 and $29.000 in compensation respectively.

Sweden is lost.

The Rape Gang Inquiry - what happens next.

I intend to use my parliamentary privilege to name perpetrators and their enablers in the chamber.

This will be done incredibly carefully with our legal team involved every step of the way to ensure that no future prosecutions are jeopardised.

We are cooperating with the authorities in order to help cases be opened and reopened, but my faith in the system to independently deliver justice is not high...

That is why we are pursuing private prosecutions and civil litigation.

A target list has been identified, and it continues to grow.

This all has to be handled very carefully, for obvious reasons, but I am determined to act. We have had enough talk, now we need to act.

Our aim is straightforward.

Put people in prison. Deliver justice. Finally.

We will act. Not talk.
