Off to another promising looking Peak District pub tomorrow, The Little Mill, hidden away in Rowarth. We used to do family walks to it as kids but I haven't eaten there in nearly 40yrs. It's under (relatively) new ownership, and there's lots to like on the menus. Fingers crossed!

Late lunch at The Little Mill Inn at Rowarth today. We used to go when I was a kid back in the 1970s. It's a handsome old place with rooms, but now with very decent proper pub cooking, and the best playground ever on the banks of the steam. This is revelatory for foodie parents!
