@YouTubeCreators YouTube literally doesn’t care about the retention metric — only overall watch time. Meaning that if the video is made shorter from cuts, it won’t be pushed. 😆

Not to mention, cutting out pauses doesn’t allow for automatic ad placements. It also feels unnatural for viewers.

There’s clearly a difference between using AI to improve the quality of your thumbnails and using AI to fully make your thumbnails.

What’s better is to add a couple of timelines with clips or sound effects you use repeatedly with markers indicating what each is.

I do this for both my YouTube channels, and it saves a ton of time.
