The question is simple: why are we importing labour when South Africa is battling extraordinarily high unemployment? If a position requires specialised skills that genuinely cannot be found locally, that’s understandable.

But where suitably qualified South Africans are available, they should not be overlooked. Our economy must prioritise creating opportunities for people who are already here and desperately looking for work.

This isn’t about hatred of foreigners it’s about putting South Africans first in employment.
