David joined MultiChoice in 2015 and, over the past decade, became a familiar and cherished presence to employees, visitors and members of the public. He was widely known for his professionalism, warmth and positive spirit, and for the genuine care with which he greeted and assisted everyone who came through our doors.
For many, David’s friendly greetings and daily interactions along Bram Fischer Drive became a welcome and uplifting part of the day. He represented the values of respect, kindness and human connection, and his contribution extended well beyond his formal role.
David was also widely admired for his personal resilience and commitment to healthy living. He cycled to work everyday and was an avid long-distance cyclist who used sport to manage his health and inspire others. He drew public attention for undertaking a long-distance charity ride from Johannesburg to Venda in honour of his late father, and he participated in several major cycling events. His story motivated many people and reflected his determination, discipline and love of life.
David will be remembered for his optimism, generosity of spirit and the lasting impression he made on colleagues, guests and the broader community.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to David’s family, friends and fellow colleagues during this difficult time. Information regarding memorial arrangements will be shared once confirmed and in accordance with the family’s wishes.

17 years later, I’m still navigating the world of entrepreneurship, I wonder if there are psychologists trained to help us understand and navigate our calling and the process of peeling off the different layers of our purpose, if they exist I really need to sit on the couch with one….

January 2026 in particular has been a rollercoaster of emotions, the devil has never attacked my mind like he tried to do this January but the Almighty God that I serve said “not on my watch, not my chosen one”

The more I prayed, the more I was attacked mentally with self doubt thoughts but I continued to pray, I’ve never prayed so much in my life and will continue to pray.

My Ancestors are not a fan of self pity and weakness, they called me to order very fast 😂🤣😂 I had just started crying then the message was “haai wena, why are you crying and stressing when God has already given all these things? Where’s your faith? Go to work”, they chika’d me shem so I stopped crying and rushed back to work. 😂🤣😂🤣no guys entrepreneurs need a crying room

Cheers to my 17 years anniversary of entrepreneurship 💃🏽🥳💃🏽💜🔥💜 as we continue to pray without ceasing, all good things will happen through God who strengthens me.
