Following the First Lady’s positive test for COVID-19, President Biden was administered a COVID test this evening. The President tested negative. The President will test at a regular cadence this week and monitor for symptoms.

HAPPENING NOW: @potus speaks on August Jobs Report. He says work force participation is highest now than in the last 20 years. At the same time inflation cotinues to fall. It's now at around 3%, close to where it was before the pandemic.

The unemployment rate is up to 3.8% from 3.5% in July. With 187,000 jobs added @potus sees this as a good indication #unemployment Holding steady at below 4% for 19 months he will tout this as a historic achievement.

Vivek Ramaswamy has to realize two things before becoming a leader: 1. The US is NOT a post-racial society, 2. Black people are not treated equally, 3. Black people fought for the 1965 Immigration Act that supports non-Europeans being permitted in the U.S. without racist quotas.

FEMA Dir. Chriswell said at the briefing @potus directed her to go to Florida to assess damage she will be leaving this afternoon. She said FEMA was ready to response with 300 personnel on the ground. As of 7:30 this morning there were nearly 300,000 power outages in Florida.
