There is something about artistic and creative people that is conductive for heightened psi abilities (telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, and psychokinesis).

Fascinatingly enough, between 1962 and 2003, twenty seven experimental studies explored the relationship between creativity and what we call supernatural abilities. They suggested there is something about artistic populations that is conductive for a higher baseline of development for these extracorporeal skills. But what exactly is it about artists? Researchers have suggested several possibilities, including self-confidence, extraversion, open belief systems, the ability to shift easily between states of consciousness, and most importantly, creativity.

The one facet of creativity most clearly linked to these abilities was actually emotional creativity: a person's willingness to explore their own feelings, an awareness of experiencing new personal combinations of emotions, and the ability to make use of emotional insights creatively and adaptively on both a personal and an interpersonal level.

It's worth nothing that within the spiritual framework, every human is born with these abilities in a dormant capacity, but there is a compelling case to be made that artistic personalities are born with them naturally developed to a much higher degree than most people. Very interesting that it has been studied to such an extent.
