It’s really remarkable how hated the 49ers are amongst other fan bases. It’s weirdly intense. The 49ers’ QB is a humble, reserved, work-focused kid. The rest of the players on the team are very professional, committed, mostly all-star type performers. They don’t generally say much (unless trash talked first), keep their heads down, watch out for each other, do their jobs. Their HC is quiet in his work, not outlandish or controversial.

I’m not sure if it’s envy, or that they can’t stand California, or that they resent their teams getting beaten down routinely by the 49ers. Maybe they hate that the SF fan base is spread out all over the country. The anger just seems over-the-top given the circumstances.

Whatever, I suppose. Do you, angry fan bases. Form alliances, too, if you feel like that will help you cope. It’s not going to change the fact your stadiums will always be bathed in red on game day.
