Mt. Baldy. 10 miles, 3,917 feet of gain, with my son.
Up the long way to the Devil's Backbone, down the short steep way that rocked my knees. One of the hardest descents Ive done.
No signal, no email, no Teams up there. That's the whole reason I
Did a hike this week just outside Scottsdale, about seven miles around Granite Mountain. Hard to believe the rock out there is over a billion years old and the cactus have been growing for more than a hundred years.
Majestic and timeless, mountains have a way of captivating our imagination. They inspire us to explore, learn, connect with nature, and seek a peaceful refuge.

Yvon Chouinard: Unsuccessfully pursued perfection, but it's his progress that mattered most.
Dirtbag Billionaire, one of the best books I've read this year. The Biography about the Founder of Patagonia that built an iconic company, struggled with contradictions, imperfections and the fact there is no truly sustainable company.
But, I realized while reading his story, it's about progress over perfection. It's about striving to do the right thing and even when falling short it can change the world and inspire others to take the journey.
What I really admire about Yvon and Doug is their dedication to protecting and rewilding land. Just two dirtbag buddies who built something big, made serious money, and chose to use it to save millions of acres forever.
Patagonia’s offering a simple way to join in on that kind of work.

I Just finished Patagonia’s 2025 progress report. Super awesome read. A self reflection of where they’re making progress and where they still need work.
If you want a quick look at vintage Yvon & Patagonia check it out. I gotta say, he sets the standard...

How I want to live... And more importantly how I want to inspire my kids to live...
I, I did it all
I owned every second that this world could give
I saw so many places
The things that I did
Yeah, with every broken bone
I swear I lived

I was recently in Vegas and snuck away from work with Shawn and Will to hike Red Rock. Man, it was awesome.
Most of the time we’re buried in work, heads down trying to solve problems. Out there it was just fresh air, big views, and a chance to hang out with people I respect and have shared purpose.
Simple, easy, and honestly one of the best parts of the trip. It was a beautiful day! Chase moments and adventures with those you love. It's the most enduring sense of freedom I experience... and the memories bring the moment and the love back every time. So, go get it! ❤️
@CleantheWorld Proud to celebrate Hilton Munich City’s leadership in sustainability 🌍✨. Over 6,700 kg of amenity plastic recycled since 2021, powered by renewable energy and even rooftop beehives 🐝. A true example of impact in action—thank you for helping us make #SoapSavesLives.
Proud of the work our nonprofit partner @TheWASHFound is doing this #NationalWaterQualityMonth - 🌍🚿
At Clean the World, we know hygiene saves lives. Together, we’re scaling solutions—mobile showers, soap & plastic recycling, and global hygiene distribution—to bring dignity and health to millions.
Let’s keep pushing impact forward. 💪 #WASH #Impact
It's not easy...to get the morning walk in the dark done.
And I'd much rather stay in bed. The self talk when the alarm buzzes at 5AM, tells me WHY am I doing this? What's the difference.... this is stupidity..
But I never, never regret it when I return... I never regret it at 5PM
And the discipline always gives me pride.
Our first 14er
This past May, my son and I set out for Mount Bierstadt (14,065 ft) but Colorado had other plans. A late-season snow dump left most trails closed, so we acclimatized first on Chief Mountain near Idaho Springs.
When Bierstadt finally opened, we decided to go for it. Snow covered the trails, we weren’t mentally prepared for the conditions. But together, we struggled, step by step, figuring out our own way up through the snow.
The climb was beautiful and brutal. On the way down, melting snow turned every step into anxiety with post-holing, testing our patience and causing frustration. But we kept each other going.
Reaching the summit with my son, above the other mountains, nearly touching the clouds, with snow all around was unforgettable. Not just because we made it, but because we did it together.
Adventure isn’t about perfection, the most fun and best experience is the imperfection.
It’s about showing up, facing what’s in front of you, and finding strength in the climb.
Here’s to many more summits ahead.
Oh, and watch out for the alpine sunburn, my face got fried. 😎
