the bill wants to go further. mandatory certification. 1% gross revenue levy. fines. jail time for non-compliance.

we thought certification was the main fight.

turns out the bill isn't even where it starts.

currently, under existing law:

1. a mobile app developer pays GH₵6,000 to register. GH₵5,000 every year after.

2. you run a small online shop and built your own website for orders. GH₵10,000 to register then 1% of every transaction after that. not profit. every transaction.
