In the 1st–3rd centuries, Christianity was not one voice. There were:

•Gnostics
•Docetists

Each group had different beliefs about Jesus — his nature, mission, and even his death.

So the idea that “all Christians agreed from day one” is not true, historically.

There is a popular theory about Simon of Cyrene that exist in history

Several early Christian sects believed Jesus was not the one crucified, but Simon of Cyrene was.

This is not from Islam. It is not the Qur'an or Muslim scholars that started the argument. it is from Christian sources.

•Basilides (2nd century Christian teacher in Egypt) held the opinion that Jesus was not crucified, that it was Simon of Cyrene that was crucified in his place, while Jesus was saved by God.

This is recorded by Irenaeus, a Church Father who opposed Basilides. So even those who rejected the belief admit it existed. You can see this isn't another “Muhammad (saw) copied something”, it was already there 600 years earlier.
