Bir Alman arkadaşım normal iş te çalışıyor ama Ottensen, Hamburg ta oturuyor. Sahile yürüme mesafesinde. Haftada 3 gün çalışıyor her akşam sahile inip kitap okur, keyip yapar akşam eve çıkar. Bu hafta sonu Berlin'de gidip Bruno Mars konserine gidecek, haftaya da Amsterdam'a gidiyor yine Bruno Mars konserine.

Kira derdi yok, borcu da yok zaten.

2 ay sonra işi bırakıp South Afrika'ya gönüllü olarak Atlar bakmaya gidecek. Orada 3 ay kalacak.

Kadın 50 yaşında.

A lot of people don’t fully understand what happened when Elon bought Twitter in 2022.

Twitter had 250 million daily users in 2022 and only 400k accounts had blue checks. These people’s - mostly progressive influencers and media professionals — replies were always at the top. Their tweets were first in every trending topic. They were the only accounts with algorithmic amplification. They determined what topics trended and shaped the discourse. They would tweet something and then get to read about their tweets in the New York Times the next day. Their tweets could end somebody’s career or send multinational corporations into damage control mode.

And then Elon took it all away from them.

They had no idea how fragile their platforms were or how fleeting their hold on power could be. When they quit Twitter and went over to Bsky, they thought it was portable and would reassemble over there. But now, they’re broadcasting to no one. They will never get back what they lost.

They are unspeakably bitter.
