Hi, I’m Queen.
I’m a web content writer and editor.
I’ve been doing this for over half a decade, and what an incredible journey it’s been. Writing is more than just a profession for me—it’s my passion, my joy, and my natural way of expressing myself.
@unkonfined The irony of jealousy is that the jealous person often has more advantages, yet believes the person they’re jealous of is better than them. So they withhold, exclude and refuse to help. And when that person wins without them, it triggers the envy even more. Funny, really.
@Queen_primis It’s like saying, “If one doesn’t strain while pooing, will it come out?” That’s why pushing is required. A woman doesn’t push independently; she pushes with contractions. If labour isn’t progressing, oxytocin or vacuum delivery may be considered, depending on the situation.
@christincfarmer @Queen_primis Hopefully, as hospitals become more advanced, women will have more options and be able to choose the position they’re most comfortable with, because women should have a say in how they give birth. I just don’t think it’s necessarily about patriarchy.
@christincfarmer @Queen_primis I remember a woman whose baby’s umbilicus was wrapped around his neck, but because she was laid supine, it was easy to spot and manage quickly. So I don’t think we’re trying to rule out other positions. Most times, it’s also about what the hospital is equipped to support.
@LizzyStarrrdust A lot of people don't understand that pain is subjective. What I rate as 10/10 on a numerical pain scale, someone else may rate as 3/10. That doesn’t mean one person is experiencing more pain. Many factors affect how we experience and process pain and that's what it is.
@MindTendencies2 A healthy relationship takes mutual effort, intentionality, sacrifice, understanding and patience to build. It takes two willing people who value each other enough to consistently put in the work and make the relationship thrive.
@AfsaRosette I got talking with a man who, within a few weeks, wanted me to see his people. I was like, “Yo, why the rush?” I think societal pressure has made us so eager to get to the destination that we no longer fancy quality conversations and genuine friendships. And honestly, it’s sad.
@muheediva01 Yes, however it depends on the relationship and what happened. Maybe the bridge was burned, they were deeply hurt, or they feel the care isn’t reciprocated. If you can reach out, do it. If you can’t, don’t force it; pray for them. Life is too short not to care about people.
@TWOTIMESABITCH I know this is true, especially because it’s something I’ve adopted too. But sometimes I wonder: in trying to protect our peace, don’t we lose parts of ourselves? Because if caring is who you are, completely backing out can feel like becoming someone else. Don't you think?!
@thewinlos Oh my! I wish I were the one with that opportunity. I’d have thanked him, introduced myself, said “Good morning, sir,” and asked my question. Opportunities like this come once in a blue moon. She abused the privilege trying to be Western in an environment that values respect.
I’m learning not to beat myself up over opportunities I wish I had taken. It’s easy to look back and wonder, “What if I had just said yes?” But sometimes the timing isn’t right. Sometimes you’re just not ready. And that’s okay.
I know this has to be one of the hardest things to bring yourself to do, but hear me out: find a way to thank God when things don’t go as planned. You don’t know what He may have protected you from or how things could have turned out.
If only you knew what people were dealing with silently, you wouldn’t be so quick to compare yourself to them. You also wouldn’t be so quick to judge or be cruel to them. Instead, you’d treat people with more grace, patience, and love.
@AnotherGalaxy7 Balancing politics while excelling academically is no small feat at all. It takes discipline, courage, and an incredible amount of resilience. I share in your joy and celebrate this win with you. Congratulations, I wish you greater height on your call to serve humanity. 🥂
Would honestly love to hear your first OSCE experience too. Did you ace it? Did anxiety wipe your memory? Did your hands suddenly become numb?
Share please; I need stories for motivation as I prepare for next week’s OSCEs. 🥹
My speech was 10/10, but I still flopped my first OSCE. If you’ve done OSCE before, you can agree with me that there’s something unexplainable about the atmosphere. 💀
Now I’m preparing for my reproductive health OSCE, and I’ve told myself that:
1. I will squeeze the life out of any simulator I see on that table 2. I will touch everything confidently 3. I will maintain eye contact with my examiner
