The first problem we have is taking accountability. Most of these people are muslims. By faith, they are but by practice, they might not be.
We need to start taking accountability and calling them out properly, hence, bias starts to show in our statements.
My brother "As-Salam 'Alaykum..." and other Islamic related terms in the North is cultural. People who say it are not necessarily Muslims or have any understanding of Islam. It is a mistake to assume that they are Muslims because they make utterances that are popular among Muslims.
In addition, even if they are Muslims, there is a gross misunderstanding and ignorance of the faith among them. Hence, they have no respect for the faith and they only use it sinisterly to create some sense of justification for their crimes. This is replica of most terrorist groups in the world including the terrorist nation planted in the Mideast by the West. Terrorists only use religion, they don't practice it.
