Doing the paperwork to gift my RAV4 to a friend. Car's fully paid off and I still hesitated at the signature line. Then it hit me: it's just metal and rubber. The friendship outlasts the car.
@BikeLanesBoston@iamogkidd A racist guy sees two people talking about airport luggage and somehow thinks skin color is the argument. Who would’ve thought.
Signing over my paid-off RAV4 to a friend this week. The paperwork took an hour. The relief on his face will last way longer. Best return on anything I've owned in years.
Four months ago I didn't trust FSD. Hands hovering, foot ready, zero chill. Yesterday it took a messy merge smoother than I would have. Now I'm just a passenger sipping coffee in my own car. The skeptic retired at month three.
@Jason I love posts like this because the replies become the one place on X where everyone is competing to prove humanity might actually be okay 😭 If you’re giving today, I’m definitely reading this thread for ideas.
Reading helps, but I think the bigger secret is practicing boredom again. Pick one task, put the phone away, close everything else and stay with it even when your brain starts begging for stimulation. Start with 20–30 minutes and gradually increase it. Deep focus is less like discovering a hack and more like training a muscle.
@1Nicdar Because the duck doesn't reheat leftover spaghetti three times a week. Mine's been orange for years and I've made peace with it. That stain is load-bearing now.
@Leonajardinho I did the same last week and the machine called for an attendant because it thought my bagging area was a crime scene. Working for free and still getting supervised.
@CultureCrave@business Disney+ just hit $21.49 while my CapCut Pro renews at $21.31 on Sept 29. Two apps, basically the same bill, and I'm over here hunting for a CapCut deal like it's Black Friday. Anybody got a coupon code?
@AlexHormozi Trying is basically my whole personality now. My 11-month-old tries to climb everything and I try to stop him. We're both very consistent.
@theo Curious about this too. Switching AI coding tools now feels less like changing software and more like changing coworkers 😭 You don’t realize which little behaviors you depended on until the new guy starts doing everything differently.
@MerriamWebster My hill: 'supposably' is not a word. I've started fining my family a dollar every time someone says it, and the college fund is thriving.
@ashebytes Asking what camera you use is completely normal. Acting like you violated international law because you didn’t answer is the weird part 😭 Nobody is entitled to someone else’s tools, workflow or knowledge just because they sent a DM.
@unusual_whales $145 billion in a single year is the kind of number where “tech company” starts sounding way too casual 😭 AI infrastructure has basically turned Big Tech capex into something that looks like a national budget.
@theficouple My MBA taught me total cost of ownership in theory. That $15k roof line item taught it in practice. Owning is not throwing money away, it is throwing it at gutters and calling it equity. Still the right call, just say it with a straight face.
@jaltma Seriously. We went from “AI might be useful someday” to watching people build apps in minutes, cars drive themselves and robots become actual products 😭 The craziest part is that this will probably look like the primitive era of AI 10 years from now.
@SawyerMerritt 35 Cybercabs casually sitting in Pennsylvania like we’re supposed to act normal about it 😭 A few years ago this looked like concept art. Now somebody near Philly can apparently drive past a whole fleet of them on the way to grab coffee.
