Similarly, many Sikhs are deeply protective of Punjab's Hindus. They regard the Hindus of Punjab as their own. The suffering of Punjab's Hindus is not seen as someone else's tragedy, but as a shared loss that brings grief to the Sikh community as well.

@iamag001 Satluj is more like on the face.. Though movie like Punjab 1984 was way more brutal.. And that too when there was congress in centre.. I feel it's about just two characters that of Kps and Beant.. Kps was hero of both the parties and then bittu is in BJP.

According to actor Suvinder Vicky, who plays the film's antagonist SSP Surjit Singh Sugga, viewers across Punjab are organising community screenings, treating the film "like seva."
