A med student’s love language:
Words of affirmation: "I know you can do this if you have coffee”
Physical touch: Touching my shoulder to give me coffee
Gifts: Coffee ☕️
Quality time: Spending an afternoon with bae (coffee)
Acts of service: "Got that fresh mug for you!"
Board exam question writers really be out her like,
“memorize this mnemonic: BUL 123, LCR 735, APP 987... and you should ideally memorize it with the numbers and letters separately, like BULLCRAPP 123735987”
Aren’t medical exams fun?!
@RealMed3 First gen D.O., my parents try so hard to understand but training timeline gets tricky to explain. I didn’t understand residency or know about specialties until med school.
@md_sleepy So far I’ve just been giving them the, “we’re not admitting yet, I have to go discuss with the attending” who then (occasionally) chooses to push back
Also, MTFs are a whole different scenario where hospital stays are “free”
I survived first month of inpatient #familyMedicine
Absolutely fascinating switching from an intubated, sedated sepsis patient to a young rhabdomyolysis dude
Family Medicine is the best medicine
