The fact that UWorld wants me to distinguish which of these four untested supplements is messing with the patient's liver is just ridiculous. I cannot wait to be done with the USMLE and UWorld
Grateful to know and work together with my Native American friends in creating a beautiful future for the next 7 generations.
I asked my friends to tell me about the America they want to live in. Here's what they had to say. #WithBidenWeCan#IndigenousPeoplesDay
I was down about work, until my family was speechless about how casually I talked about getting ROSC on a patient today. What we do is literally life changing for people. Perspective is huge
Phases of time off:
1. Recovery - all you can do is lay on the couch, nap, etc.
2. Picking Up the Pieces - laundry, groceries, unpaid bills, unanswered emails, etc
3. Real Rest - you actually feel good enough to do stuff that you like that makes you feel rested
Day off during internship: knowing your headache is due to dehydration from not drinking water all week but refusing to drink anything but coffee that’s not from the hospital
@medburnbook Everyone’s had some great advice - you’re gonna do great! I’ll add to “put your money down” on something, be it your diagnosis or plan moving forward. It’s better to be decisive and wrong as a learner than waffle (so I’ve been told lol)
@matthewaheard As a current intern, I see the med students and go “shoot, these people know way more than me and I’m supposed to teach them?!”
You’re gonna make it and do great, I promise
