This systemic flaw really needs to come to light. We expect championships to be won and podium finishes without really working on the foundation. We expect quick results and are even quicker in criticising athletes who arent meeting ‘our expectations’.

There will be no Indian Women's League in 2021. The AIFF seems to be looking at a March-May 2022 time frame to organise the 'postponed' league. This is highly unfortunate, given the ramifications. In January 2022, India hosts the AFC Women's Asian Cup.
