@ouhbick @CharlotteAlter She eventually got recruited to run track for a D1 school. Track was something she exclusively did in high school. No clubs, no trainers, no expense. Club sports can be positive but aren’t required to be an athlete either.

Also, not every club program is run the way you describe, not the ones we were part of.

@NYMag 2 of my kids wanted to play hockey, and there wasn’t an alternative other than a club team. In return they got to learn a sport they both loved, made life long connections with teammates, and developed confidence in themselves. I got hours of time with them and watched them grow.

In my experience AI support chatbots and voice assistants can either be extremely helpful or extremely frustrating. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground. @VerizonSupport somehow took extremely frustrating to an entirely new level. This alone makes m want to change carriers.
