Many HS girls who play varsity ball or AAU are at roughly the same level-capable, good HS basketball players. The majority are NOT college material. There is a reason 3.5% go on to play in college and 1% are Div 1. College coaches are choosing players who will help them win games and championships and help them keep their jobs. It doesn’t mean they are not good players or won’t go on but the odds are not in their favor. As a parent, is your kid coachable, a good teammate, accountable, present, and a good student? Those traits will be far more valuable for their future. Ask me if I would hire your kid for a job before you ask me what their ranking is-that is far more important for real life.
@alyxwhite_ s/o to Alyx and her coverage of girls basketball in the state of Ky. A lot of great talent in this state and she promotes it all. Grow the gam.
Just because 8th Graders and Freshmen are getting offers does NOT mean you are behind. These are UNCOMMITTABLE Offers which basically mean nothing...
They will have to Re-Earn a real offer later. Focus on your game/grades control what you can control! Your time is coming🔥
This is EXACTLY what coaching is all about! Not money, not power and not wins. The wins will happen if you demand excellence while developing personal relationships with your players on and more importantly off the court. You can see the love she had for Coach Summitt
To be a great coach, you must have a deep passion for helping kids grow. If you’re just coaching for the money or accolades, you may not last long as a coach.
Bree Hall texted her parents this morning, saying she was gonna lock Madison Booker down.
"She had said 'she can't f'ing guard me' so I said that will be my motivation this game, I have to take that personally," Hall told me.
