Recently, your department has been refusing our parents permission to enter the uk for a visitation.

You deny them their right to see their children who just gave birth, the right to give them the support that they needed and also bond with the newborn and the family at large.

When we apply, you give our parents the most bizarre excuse for not granting them visa.

You make it look like it’s normal to spend £100 + to keep reapplying until you finally block them from reapplying.

This is not fair.

When you wanted to deny my MIL, you said there was no tie to her going back to Nigeria. You wouldn’t state what document you needed. You would just ask us to provide a document and you will reject it with “we are not convinced enough”

When you wanted to deny a friend of mine, you said he is not related to his mother.

What exactly do I need to show that I’m related to my mother? DNA?

Hello @UKParliament @HumanRightsCtte this is the time to review that 2weeks paternity leave.

If you cannot give our parents visas to stay at least 2-3 months with us after the birth of a newborn, can you at least grant us the husband 3-6months paternity leave.

You have subjected our wives to postpartum depression due to lack of help.

You have subjected our family to undue stress.

You take as much money as you can under the guise of reapplying for visiting visa for our parents.

We are not allowed to take any government benefits and we are not bothered.

But subjecting us to poverty, lack of motherly support, stress and anxiety doesn’t speak well of a country that prioritise DEI and mental health support.

Something urgently needs to be done.
