Every time Benue is mentioned, people jump straight into political debates. Who is right, who’s wrong, who failed, who should have done what.

This is about human beings losing everything,homes, farms, memories, security, identity.

POLITICS CAN WAIT.
HUMAN LIVES CANNOT.

When we reduce the suffering of displaced people to political banter, we fail them twice:

Children who should be learning in classrooms are learning how to survive danger.

This is not about party colors.
It’s not about who you voted for.
It’s not about which administration you support.

But while we argue online, real people are packing their entire lives into nylon bags and running for safety.

Families in Benue are sleeping on cold floors in overcrowded camps.

Mothers are raising babies without clean water.

Elders who once farmed proudly now beg for food.

We won’t forget 💔

A mass burial of 73 victims in Benue State occurred on 1 January 2018, caused by Fulani terrorists against Benue Christian communities.
