Tried designing again. Most difficult stuff I've ever done.

Tried airdrop. I don't want to be there. It has earned me. Sustained me. Everything seems not aligned when doing it. Even wanted to try yapping. That was a fail at the start. XD.

Tried trading. Enrolled with $400 at Q1. Active through tutoring and finished well. Trading is for the rich. Gave it space to protect my capital.

Priviledged to access some 9to5. Successfully declined all. A completely no go area.

I know I'd do one or two, or a different thing entirely. I'm solid learner and I believe I'm very creative too. And I'm going to come out well, whatever it may be.

While improving on getting my design kicks. Web3 convos have been bubbling.
New projects. New integrations. New investors. New onboarded users.
Maybe the conflict was a must. Yappers vs/and Testers.

Tried to catchup. Had to Rewind.

What and why is airdrop?
Airdrop is when a project gives free token to those who meet certain criteria:
- holding a certain cryptocurrency or NFT.
- being am early adopter/supporter.
- loyal community member.
- the lucky ones etc.
To gain wider adoption, spread awareness about a project.
To create a DAO (Decentralised Autonomous Organisation).
That gives eligible users (token-holders) voting power to influence that project's governance.

Fast forward to today.
Testers testing project, grinding quest activity and some retroactive. For as long as over a year. AND project ready to do an airdrop. AND yappers suddenly rewarded after few months of tweeting about that project.

Observing it, it's more of the web3 system working for/against itself to reward genuine user OR just adjusting its meta as it evolve.

There's a belief that one who talks about a product often tends to use it or likely have used it as it may be. That’s not always true. But feels true in case of web3. Thus, more a genuine user.

The web3 system has always been washed. The system had to adjust. Even with all the skillful adjustment the system still gets bot’d and sybil’d. It's just a matter of time about yapping. What would be next? gated testnets. Even that but let’s not digress.

There were old times, certain discord role holder were rewarded than actual testers. Can’t think of a project but do you recall?

It was perceived these discord role holders were more active using the product and also onboarding new users than testers. And thus, more a genuine user than testers. This discord role allow its holder to submit wallet in an exclusive channel before TGE to earn higher reward.

Perhaps the same meta in new skin. (Test + Active Discord) + Yap on X.

Where the problem lies is, yapper gets substantial rewards. And testers who's been with the project from early time is almost insignificaant. Caldera for example.

Airdrop needs a balanced reward model. Because both are important. One improves the product. The other gives the product its visibility.

If place in hierarchy, maybe the visibility comes first. But yappers aren’t necessarily using the product. Though they tweeted about it. Read a tweet sometime back, it was called ‘copy and paste’. XD. Well it’s the game. It is what it is.
