Here are some ACT Party candidates that have just been announced;
Malkiat Singh - Papakura
Manu Singh - Mangere
Parmjeet Parmar - Pakuranga
Ali Dahche - Botany
Winston Peters today from Field Days :
“It’s not a FTA, that Indian deal is an immigration deal, have a look at Ireland and the UK, loose immigration is a disaster and i’m not having it”
“National signed us up-to the Paris agreement which could cost us $22 billion, and if that wasn’t bad enough National have again signed us up to $35 billion to pay India for this deal”
“Luxon doesn’t know what he’s talking about, ask the Australians how much meat they’ve sold to India since their India deal - it’s been pathetic, and it will be the same for us”
When asked about treasury modelling, WP is the only Politician i’ve heard question Superannuation forecast in 30 years “ Everything will be different, what about AI ? it’s here now, also the Cullen fund was there to counter the aging population, but National won’t mention it, because they want to privatise it”
Our Paris accord obligation payments will end up spread between China and India. Our commitment National has made to India for the free trade deal is to promote 35 billion more to them. What’s the bet that the $92 billion in the Cullen fund, a fund built by our taxes from workers, designed to help smooth out OUR super commitments - ends up in Mumbai.
Seymour’s ‘Tough on immigration’ gaslighting of charging immigrants a surcharge, didn’t even last a month -
He’s launched another visa - which attract his little surcharge.
He announces a policy one month, the next he announces a carve out - and a new visa pathway targeting Indians.
Here’s Malkiat singh, Acts new marque candidate who in September 2025 lobbied the Govt with a petition to take all caps and restrictions for Indians to bring their parents in.
This dude has three cows and calls himself a farmer, but within seconds he’s talking about his experience as an immigration agent and telling us the cost of living will increase unless we bring in more Indians.
Fuck Act, total pig slop of a party.
David Seymour is capitalizing on Henry Nowak's death, while his record shows a different story.
@actparty called @winstonpeters' criticism of allowing Sikhs to keep daggers on them at all, "racist".
ACT has the politics of Keir Starmer and the UK's woke two-tier policing. 🚩
🚩FFS : David Seymour put out a press release calling out the murder of Henry Nowak and stupid identity politics and rules.
It appears that he’s forgotten championing (along with National) for Sikhs to be able to carry their daggers - even on a plane.
Winston Peters was the lone Politician who argued against allowing the carve outs, to which Seymour accused WP of being “culturally ignorant”.
Act and National both used their Indian MP’s - candidates to market the law/regulation change - Identity Politicking much?
[ ACT PRESS RELEASE Aug 14 2017]
“Winston Peters has yet again displayed ignorance of modern New Zealand when he attacked Sikhs’ pursuit to carry a kirpan, a ceremonial religious dagger in public places and workplaces, says David Seymour.
Winston yearns for the time Indians belonged in the corner dairy; in modern New Zealand, the Indian community is an important part of the economy, society, and culture.
ACT will ensure that in the next Parliament, we will ensure a bill is passed to allow Sikhs to wear the kirpan in public.”
[Herald August 14 2017]
As a Sikh, this is an attack my freedom of religion. Anyone who can’t tell the difference between a 2 metre long lethal weapon and a 10 centimetre ceremonial ornament needs to properly educate and inform themselves,” says ACT candidate, Bhupinder Singh” ENDS.
National list MP Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi has a private member's bill in the ballot to allow a baptised Sikh person to carry a kirpan in public places and workplaces, without this being an offence.
“Former PM John Key in 2015 said the Government was considering exempting kirpans from civil aviation rules, to allow them to be carried onboard and not stowed with luggage.
Those comments came after seven Sikh cricket fans were barred from watching a Cricket World Cup match at Eden Park because they were wearing kirpans.
A kirpan is a small sword or dagger, worn in a sheath on a strap or belt.
In August, a Sikh man was removed from an Air New Zealand flight from Christchurch to Invercargill, after another passenger noticed his kirpan.
Despite those problems, Peters said changing the Crimes Act to allow Sikhs to carry the kirpan would be a rule to favour them over others.
Perhaps it's time for a serious talk with the Sikh community to avoid people walking around with a dagger of cold hard steel."
ACT and National have always bowed to minorities and have been keen on mass immigration & replacing our culture and introducing a two tier society. Act have today introduced a policy for yet another visa pathway for immigrants - which avoids his little surcharge Seymour announced just the other week.
Worried about the Indian takeover ? DON’T VOTE ACT or NATIONAL … if they get this India FT deal through NZ as we know it will be finished.

@2ETEKA They threw a genuine, traditional centre left yet conservative MP under the bus just to be replaced by a wokester Johnny Foreigner. Unbelievable!
NZ First (New Zealand First) strongly opposes the New Zealand–India Free Trade Agreement (FTA). They view it as a "bad deal" that is "neither free nor fair" for New Zealand.
https://t.co/0cqSvFXhNy
Key Reasons for Opposition (from NZ First's official statement)
Dairy exclusion: India did not offer meaningful access for New Zealand’s major dairy exports (milk, cheese, butter), which make up ~30% of NZ goods exports. This is the first NZ trade deal to largely exclude https://t.co/Dcv6wb26qZ
Immigration and people movement: The deal includes concessions on Indian worker visas, student post-study work rights, and mobility that NZ First believes are too generous. They argue it risks displacing NZ workers, straining housing/infrastructure, and constraining future governments’ immigration https://t.co/QVOE4VokIh
Overall balance: NZ opens its market fully to Indian goods, while India’s concessions (especially on sensitive sectors) are seen as insufficient. NZ First also raised concerns about investment commitments and rushed https://t.co/h8t5eTXclv
NZ First leader Winston Peters and the party exercised the "agree to disagree" clause in the coalition agreement, voted against enabling legislation, and have consistently criticised the deal.

Current Status of the FTA (as of June 2026)
Negotiations concluded in December 2025.
Signed on 27 April 2026 in New Delhi.
Not yet in force — it requires domestic ratification/legislation in both countries (including NZ parliamentary approval for tariff changes and related measures).mfat.govt.nz
Can NZ First Repeal It If Elected?
Before it enters into force: Yes, in practice. If NZ First leads or is in a government with a parliamentary majority after the next election, they could block or vote down the implementing legislation, effectively preventing the FTA from taking effect. They have already signaled they would vote against https://t.co/aLlbSmuqNP
After it enters into force: Much harder. Once ratified and in effect, repealing or withdrawing from a signed bilateral FTA is legally and diplomatically complex. It would involve:Negotiating with India (which is unlikely to agree easily).
Potential dispute mechanisms, compensation claims, or damage to the broader bilateral relationship.
Domestic legislative steps to unwind tariff changes and other commitments.
