Did almost 42minutes CPR on Thursday.....still can't feel my arms....
He survived.. that's the good part...
Saw him eating on the ward today....was so happy...but I still can't feel my arms ..
You’re going to feel foolish sometimes for being a genuine person but it is what it is. It’s a better way to live than being constantly fake and guarded. You’re here for a limited time, live a little.
Stop treating relationships like annual procurement contracts. What do you do for your man on his birthday? Work and get yourself the present you desire.
It took me a while to share this…
The number of people living with undiagnosed health conditions is more common than many think.
This young lady in her 20s was about to be employed as a helper and nanny.
As a precaution, we decided to do a routine medical check-up before proceeding, especially since we have babies in the house.
The results showed she had typhoid and tested positive for HIV 😬.
I’m not sharing this to create fear, but to highlight the importance of proper screening and awareness when bringing someone into your home environment.
It’s easy to assume someone is fine based on appearance, but health conditions are not always visible.
Stay informed and take necessary precautions where needed.
Starting a Drug Of The Day(DOTD) series where we recall random drugs and their mechanism of action, use, etc because there is no other way for me to possibly learn pharma than recalling drugs daily😭Let me know how this sounds to you and if you'd like to join!
Antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest health threats of our time, every time you take antibiotics without a prescription, skip doses or stop early, you train bacteria to survive. Today’s misuse is tomorrow’s untreatable disease.
Repost to raise awareness.
There are a lot of reasons why a mad man will eat from the dustbin and nothing will happen to him, but should a normal person try it there will be issues. I want to look at two of those reasons.
-Repeated exposure
-Placebo effect
1. Because the mad man has repeatedly exposed his system to eating rubbish, his system adapts. At first those things may purge him and the like, but he thugs through it. Then he goes back to the “rubbish”. You will be surprised at the human body’s adaptability potentials. He adapts with time. His stomach enzymes adapts. He fully adapts after repeated exposure.
2. Placebo effect
Simply put, placebo effect is the effect of “belief”. A group of people dealing with headaches were separated into two. Group A was treated with actual paracetamol. Group B was given a tablet (without any active ingredient in it) and told it was paracetamol. People in group A got better which was expected, that wasn’t the interesting thing.
The interesting thing was, some people in group B whose tablet didn’t contain any API (active pharmaceutical ingredient: it is what makes a drug work, the “drug” itself) also got better.
That was an interesting finding. Those people got better because they believed that they took paracetamol, so somehow their body went with it and acted as it would for someone who took paracetamol. They got better not because they actually took paracetamol, but because they believed they took it and know the headache will disappear in minutes.
Relating this to the case of the mad man, the mad man due to the alteration in his mental capacity, assumes what he is eating is okay, nutritious and not bad for him. His body is tricked to take it as such. That strong belief wins his system. You as a sane man knows the stuff is bad and even if it’s not bad, your body will act up and send you to the hospital as you have a strong belief that you ate something abominable, but it’s not so for the mad man.
I hope I have answered your questions. Thank you 😇
You think you love someone, until it's time to clean up their vomit, help bathe them when they're sick, and hold them at 2 a.m. while they're losing their mind and crying their eyes out.
You think you love someone, until you're three months deep into their depressive episode, and they refuse to eat, wake up, shower, be productive, have no sexual appetite, and can't even show love.
You think you love someone, until their "unattractive" side shows up in the early morning hours, the setbacks, the loss of self, the distress, the hopelessness.
You think you love someone? Wait until you've seen them at their worst. Right now, you love the rainbow... but true love shows up when the skies turn gray.
the night before every exam I do realise how interesting the subject is and how I would've absolutely aced it if I had like five more days to prepare..
I'm a big fan of the "GPS Theory" when you miss a turn, your GPS doesn't judge you, it recalculates. No matter how many detours you take, it finds another way forward. Life works like that too. You'll make mistakes, but your destination doesn't vanish. The route just changes.
I saw the praise and worship videos while the neurosurgeon was operating and I commend them.
I would get so over stimulated 😭
My surgeries will either be quiet as a graveyard or specialized playlist and no talking allowed.
Can’t remember the last time I closed on time🤣
“Claims his shift is over” dier by now some extra 45 minutes pass and he just wants to go home and eat.

Being in medicine requires a lot of self love. If you slack they’ll use you.
