🔵💭 OPINION: Forget who’s “linked” — here’s a name I think Chelsea should be paying attention to this summer👀.
Ayyoub Bouaddi, an 18-year-old Lille midfielder who switched allegiance to Morocco, just delivered a statement performance on his international debut against Brazil.
Bouaddi was one of the standout players on the pitch, controlling play and showing superior calmness on the ball. He misplaced just six of 66 attempted passes across the 90 minutes.
He profiles as a strong defensive and offensive midfielder who’s good at dribbling and tackling — but it’s his composure on the ball and tactical maturity that stand out for someone his age.
With reports that Chelsea would be watching a lot of players at the World Cup, I think he is clearly one we should be looking at 👀👏.
He is also a genuine succession plan for the Caicedo/Enzo role and could play alongside them too.🔵
Chelsea fans, would you take a punt on Bouaddi this summer?
