I've subscribed to The Economist for decades. It was a bastion of concise objectivity. But under @zannymb it's turned into the Guardian.

And it gets simple things wrong, for example last week describing Tommy Robinson as a "white supremacist", when in fact Tommy is a civic nationalist whose early motto was "Black And White Unite" and is loathed by white nationalists for that reason.

This is very simple stuff to get right, and if they get it wrong, how can I trust the Economist on anything to do with economics, business and politics?

Took less than 24 hours.

The Canadian Dairy Commission fully controlled by Dairy Farmers, a Crown corporation—not Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada—is demanding a correction based on a document in which the section detailing government funding and support was completely redacted. The redactions suggest that records related to government support do exist, but they have not been disclosed.

I have no intention of issuing a correction until I receive an unredacted version of the relevant information. Transparency should come before demands for retractions.
