If you went straight chalk in both the men’s and women’s tournaments, you hit 0.750 in the former, 0.875 in the latter, and 0.813 overall (78/96). Upsets/shmupsets in the NIL era. #ncaa#sweet16#brackets

Remember the g/o/days when alarm clocks couldn’t change their own times and we could blissfully ignore all this time-switching tomfoolery?
Living in an era of newfangled gizmos like portable telephones & color TVs, let’s just dispatch with #DaylightSavingsTime, shall we?
@twostraws Started reading Testing Swift on HWS+... and got stymied on page 3. When trying to run the test on the First app, I don't get ✅✅. Instead, I get 2 concurrency warnings and the progress bar hangs on "Testing..."/"Indexing | Paused." I'm already 😵💫....
I think #Nintendo wanted their follow-up to the #Switch to be a #VR console (a la Apple Vision), but it’s nowhere near cost-effective enough yet. So they’re following the Xbox/PS formula for this generation. 7y from now, I don’t expect to see a Switch 3.
I’m think the #NewYorkGiants just blew another draft. Given the MetLife injury curse & the fact that Carter’s speed will only be as good as his ankle is, this could be a disaster. If it works out… all 4 of their SB-winning teams won bc of their D (and the last 2 bc of their DL).
Considering the #Alarmo clock from @NintendoAmerica? 👎 Its screen adjusts to the ambient light, making it UNREADABLY dark at night even at its highest brightness level. It’s essentially USELESS as a clock. Night’s when a ⏰’s important; in the daytime, just look at your 📱.
It’s amazing how the US has turned into “The City Mouse vs. the Town Mouse.” ALL* the cities are voting D and ALL the rurals are voting R.
*the vast majority, anyway

We’re locked into this half-the-country-despises-the-other-half cycle, and only a rich Independent can stop it.
8 up, 8 down: the winner of Game 1 in ALL 8 #MLBPostseason playoff series has won the series.

In the DS round, only 1 LOWER seed advanced.

[3/3] And based on my experience, CTRL (not CTL) is the abbreviation for “control,” so sim-CTL should be sim-C-T-L (whereas sim-CTRL would be sim-control).
[1/3] I started listening to the #SwiftOverCoffee podcast last month and am just now into S2 (Feb 2020). It amuses me to no end/baffles me beyond words that Swift 6 was being considered a 2021 release… and more than 3 years later, it’s still only in an Xcode beta.
[2/3] As for the GUI debate, three-letter acronyms are almost always said “by letter” (C-I-A, not see-ah; B-B-C, not bu-bu-suh; N-F-L, not nih-ful). Longer acronyms (NATO, SNAFU) get the said “by word” treatment. Ergo GUI should be G-U-I, not goo-ee.
I loved Martin’s work. Like Fred Willard, he had such a delightfully understated, dry sense of humor.

As a former actor and on-set instructor, I can confirm that filming IS that tedious, but instruction is better than portrayed. Unfortunately. Because that would have made lesson planning SO much easier (I'm talking to you, organic chemistry). #FamilyGuy https://t.co/cxEatATJlg
Just saw the Apple #iPad ad… and have absolutely no idea why people are upset by it. I found it amusing. It exactly encapsulated the concept of fitting lots of entertainment into a tiny device. People who say it as “destruction” missed the point entirely. https://t.co/UyFUY0jp7C
