Dear @chennaipolice_ / Commissioner of Police, Chennai,

We request your office to kindly verify an event being promoted as “United Nations Public Service Awards 2026” scheduled in Chennai.

The promotional materials prominently display the United Nations name, emblem, and UN agency logos, and there are concerns that awards may be being offered or sold under the impression of being associated with or endorsed by the United Nations.

If no official authorization exists from the United Nations system, the use of UN symbols, branding, and representations could potentially mislead the public and award recipients.

We respectfully request an inquiry into:

Whether the organizers have official authorization to use UN names, logos, and emblems.

Whether any fees are being collected for awards, recognitions, or nominations.

Whether the event’s promotional claims comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Public trust in international institutions must be protected from any misleading representations.

Kindly examine the matter and take appropriate action if any violations are found.
