@courtneyknill Shouldn’t even be a hot take. The “give the person you’re not attracted to a chance and you’ll find yourself in love” works in romance where you can write the outcome. In reality it turns unhealthy because if there’s no attraction, mistreatment and lack of passion soon follow!
@stoolpresidente His logic is just dumb either way. LeBron has been the face of the league in recent history due to his ability and impact on the league. That isn’t disrespectful to Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, or Lew Alcindor.
@courtneyknill I don’t think you have to do anything except what makes you happy, however I think there’s something nice in throwing an elegant event with class and decorum where everyone gets dressed up etc. We’ve lost so much of the world to practicality at the expense of beauty already!
@Jenny_1884 This is dumb af because there’s already nothing stopping you from driving at 60 if you want to conserve fuel. Guarantee they asked the question in some weird way and skewed the statistics.
Absolutely nothing wrong with any of these standards so long as you’re willing to follow the complimentary traditional roles for women.
If people are taking umbrage with these standards, they’re probably not the kind of people you want to be with anyway.
@BenGrahamUK Something that hasn’t been pointed out… what exactly is the point of body cams if the person wearing them can just turn them off? Surely they should be there for the safety of the officer and the public? Kind of defeats the purpose.
It’s almost like people said this was a bad idea in 2016, but y’all championed it then. In 2020, people doubled down and justified the right to burn down buildings and vandalise property. Now that people on the other side are using your tactics, you’ve had enough?
Crime is now being viewed through an entirely racialised lens – but only when the perpetrators aren't white.
When Chas Corrigan stabbed a Saudi student to death, or Paul Doyle mowed down Liverpool fans, white people didn't have to fear being a target of collective retaliation.
Making a mistake is shoplifting beer or taking a car for a joyride, not pulling a knife on someone and stabbing them. Nobody should have that “luxury” no matter who they are.
Karmelo Anthony being found guilty is an exact representation of black boys never being afforded the luxury to make a mistake, as it clearly is in today’s society. They are not afforded the same empathy that many Caucasian males are, nor the
If there’s a service charge on the bill, your tip is zero. Got a problem with it, take it up with the business. Not sure why the USA insists on being the land of hidden charges instead of just pricing appropriately like almost every country.
Had a $262 table leave me a $1 tip tonight because they thought the service charge was gratuity.
And honestly, this is one of the most exhausting parts of restaurant work now.
Every place handles service charges differently, so people are confused — but at a lot of restaurants, that fee does NOT go to servers.
So now we’re out here handwriting “service charge is not a tip ♡” on checks just to avoid getting accidentally stiffed.
Most guests aren’t even trying to be rude. They genuinely think they already tipped.
But after enough nights like this, it wears on you.
@courtneyknill Would be an influencer special and then fade because it isn’t profitable. Most people book the cheapest flights possible despite knowing how bad the customer service is and how few rights they have. They’re simply not willing to pay the extra for comfort!
@NormanBrennan I can understand that police have an extremely difficult job to do and will inevitably make mistakes. However there is absolutely no reason to arrest someone for “being racist.”
It’s the mentality of the officers that’s the issue. They thought this was a greater priority.
@ma1ybe Agreed if you’re married or have been in a long term relationship etc. If it’s just happened out of nowhere during casual dating however, this is the right thing to do.
