Blessing Olufikayo Adisa is a First Class graduate in Mathematics with a 4.76 CGPA from UNILORIN.

As a reward for her brilliance, Blessing was awarded a fully funded Master’s scholarship in Mathematics at the University of Calabria, Italy.

Though grateful for the opportunity, Blessing still needed financial support to cater for herself while in Italy, so people started donating to her.

Her tweet went viral and caught the attention of Bukola Saraki.

He applauded her for graduating with a First Class from UNILORIN and securing a fully funded scholarship to study for a Master’s degree in Mathematics in Italy.

He then said that after working so hard to get the scholarship, the cost of traveling to Italy should not be what stands in her way.

He promised that someone from his office would reach out to her and encouraged her to make Nigeria proud.

Summary of why Victoria is getting drägged

- About a week ago, popular 𝕏 influencer Motara made a tweet about how petty she can be, even in marriage.

- Although she later deleted the tweet, it was taken out of context, and she received heavy backlash.

- An 𝕏 user, Chidi, used the opportunity to tröll Motara. He insulted her husband and mockëd her for not having a child.

- Another 𝕏 user, Victoria, made a tweet analyzing what Chidi said about Motara. While some people disagreed with her take, they mostly focused on Chidi and left Victoria alone.

- Victoria then made another post about a video of Motara and Alabi dancing, accusing Motara of embarrässing her husband.

- Victoria said she initially felt sorry for Motara while trölls mocked her over fertility, but that she no longer felt any sympathy for her.

- She added that, as a public figure, Motara could see that her marriage was under att@ck, yet she was still dancing with her husband online.

- Motara ignored Victoria and blocked her. This appeared to upset Victoria, who then insultëd Motara and called her a disgrace to women.

- Women on 𝕏 did not take this lightly and began digging up old photos of Victoria and her husband.

- 𝕏 user, Aderinsola, said she believes Victoria is angry because, in her opinion, her husband is not as handsome as Motara’s husband.

- Others mockëd Victoria’s appearance in her wedding dress and also directed disrëspectful comments at her husband.

- Victoria, who was rumorëd to have been crying behind the scenes, eventually deleted all her posts about Motara and her husband.

- She later said her husband asked her to take the posts down because of the negätive comments he was receiving, and she chose peace instead of vawulencë

- 𝕏 users have continued trölling Victoria and her husband despite the posts being deleted.

On my flight this morning, an older man greeted me with "The best of men." I smiled and greeted him, and we shook hands. It turned out we were seat mates.

We gisted throughout the flight. When we landed, I asked his origin and he said Delta. I asked his village and he mentioned my mom's village. I told him I was from there. He asked my maiden name and I told him. His eyes lit up in familiarity. I asked his family name and he told me. I told him my mom would know his family because they all know themselves. I called my mom and told her somebody wanted to greet her. It didn't take her 2 mins to identify his family.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I've been gisting with my second cousin all through the flight. My mom and his mom are first cousins. We've exchanged contact. I'll go and block him at his office next week. Life 😊

Insecurity: Nigeria Cannot Continue Like This

I received with deep shock and sadness the tragic death of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, who reportedly died while in the custody of kidnappers. Earlier, before this heartbreaking news, I also received disturbing reports of renewed bandit attacks in Sokoto and Kwara States.

The armed bandits reportedly blocked a market route in Sokoto and abducted traders, while terrorists invaded communities in Kwara State, kidnapping scores of citizens and killing innocent people, are heartbreaking and alarming. These incidents are not isolated tragedies; they are clear manifestations of the deepening security crisis confronting our nation.

But particularly painful is the reported death of Major General Rabe Abubakar, a distinguished military officer who dedicated a significant part of his life to defending Nigeria and protecting its citizens. It is tragic that a man who served his fatherland with honour, rose through the ranks of the Nigerian Armed Forces, and retired after years of meritorious service, would meet such a heartbreaking end at the hands of criminal elements. His death is a national tragedy and a sobering indictment of the insecurity that has engulfed our country.

When traders can no longer travel safely to markets, farmers cannot access their farms, communities live under constant fear, and even retired senior military officers are not spared from the menace of kidnapping and violent crime, it becomes evident that our nation is facing a grave security emergency.

Security remains the foremost responsibility of any government. Every life lost, every citizen abducted, and every community displaced represent a painful failure of our collective duty to protect the Nigerian people. The recurring attacks in Sokoto, Kwara, and many other parts of the country demonstrate that insecurity is not only persisting but spreading in both scope and intensity.

I once again urge the Federal Government and our security agencies to move beyond rhetoric and adopt a more proactive, intelligence-driven, technology-based, and coordinated approach to tackling insecurity. We must strengthen our security architecture, improve intelligence gathering, secure our borders, equip and motivate our security personnel, and ensure that those responsible for these heinous crimes are apprehended and brought to justice.

A nation where citizens live in fear cannot prosper. A nation where economic activities are disrupted daily by criminal elements cannot attract investment, create jobs, or guarantee a better future for its people. We must urgently reclaim every part of our country from terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and all criminal gangs threatening our collective existence.

My heartfelt condolences go to the family of Major General Rabe Abubakar, his former colleagues in the Armed Forces, and all Nigerians who have lost loved ones to insecurity. I also sympathise with the families of those killed, those abducted, and the affected communities in Sokoto, Kwara, and across the nation.

The recurring tragedies and embarrassing security failures we continue to witness make the quest for a New Nigeria not only necessary but inevitable. We must build a nation where every citizen can live, work, travel, and pursue legitimate economic activities without fear.

A woman in my church refused to change to her husband’s surname for 2 years after marriage

Today, X will discontinue communities. We started the Vendorena community to support service providers and vendors in January 2026. During the period, our community grew to over 1,700, and we probably rejected over 1,000 applications. We also have many pending approvals.

We delivered two training sessions, shared useful materials, promoted vendors, and retweeted for all members of the community.

Seyi Makinde did not fail anybody. What exactly do you expect a state governor to do when he has no constitutional control over powerful security agencies, like the military, police, DSS, air force, navy, and other paramilitary forces?

Yes, people say he collects security votes funds, but if you closely follow his administration, you’ll see that the funds are being used to strengthen the state’s security. One of them is the patrol vehicles and buildings he commissioned last week.

Governor Makinde has always been clamoring for the establishment of state police, but the federal government has taken no meaningful action on it. If state police had been approved, the current situation might have been avoided.

In a system where all security powers are heavily centralized at the federal level, it is unfair to blame state governors. The blame should be placed squarely on the federal government. It is President Tinubu that has failed Nigerians.
