Earlier today, I had a productive and insightful exchange with the Swiss Vice President, @ignaziocassis, during which we reaffirmed our shared commitment to strengthening collaboration on peacebuilding, security, and regional stability. 🇳🇬🇨🇭 - NR
Yesterday, I joined my fellow governors at the Presidential Villa to greet and celebrate the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, @officialABAT, GCFR, on the occasion of his 74ht birthday anniversary.
The gathering reflected our collective respect and appreciation for his leadership, as well as our shared commitment to continue supporting his vision for national development and progress.
I wish Mr. President continued good health, renewed strength, and divine wisdom, with many more impactful and fulfilling years ahead in service to our great nation.
Recent events suggest there is still mutual respect between Malam Nasir El-Rufai and Malam Nuhu Ribadu.
After the passing of El-Rufai’s mother, reports indicate that under Ribadu’s office, arrangements were made to bring her remains back from Cairo.
Before that, Ribadu had already sent a condolence message. ICPC also granted El-Rufai leave to attend the funeral.
These are not political moves — they reflect humanity, respect, and maturity in leadership.
Both men remain influential figures in Northern Nigeria. Moments like this remind us that not everything should be politicized.
One of our biggest problems in the North is turning every issue into politics. Not everything is about rivalry.
There is a need for a united platform — bringing together former governors, lawmakers, traditional rulers, and key stakeholders to solve regional challenges beyond politics.
Even globally, nations engage across divides when it comes to matters of shared interest. We can learn from that.
Progress requires maturity, dialogue, and perspective — not constant division.
May Allah grant mercy to the mother of Malam Nasir El-Rufai and comfort the family.

I join the rest of our country to celebrate His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on his 74th birthday anniversary.
H.E. President Tinubu has led our country with uncommon courage, wisdom and tact these past years. We acknowledge the gains from his bold economic reforms, especially the appreciable rise in revenue, which has contributed to infrastructural growth across subnationals.
On behalf of myself and my colleagues at the Nigeria Governors' Forum (NGF), I wish Mr. President good health, more grace, and longer life as he continues to work hard to deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda.
My dear fellow Nigerians,
Today, as I clock another year in the journey of life, I'm filled with joy and gratitude for the opportunity given me to serve this great nation. I want to take this moment to thank Nigerians for their messages, show of love and prayers on the occasion of my 74th birthday. I thank all our citizens for their patriotism, solidarity and support for our administration.
To those who have taken space in newspapers or paid for air time on radio and television to wish me well, I thank you immensely.
I must thank my wife, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, for her kind and loving words. I also thank Vice President Kashim Shettima for all he said about me.
Consistent with my tradition over the years to mark my birthday in line with the mood of the nation each year, I resolved to also observe this year's birthday low key.
As I mark this special day, I am reminded of the challenges we've faced since we initiated our reforms. I'm glad that our sacrifices have not been in vain as we can see some glittering light at the end of the tunnel, despite the temporary setback caused by ongoing Middle East crisis.
The credit for the positive outcomes we have achieved does not belong solely to me, our Renewed Hope team and to our government. We achieved the gains together.
As we march towards the third anniversary of our administration, it is my deepest conviction that we shall succeed in building a brighter future for our citizens and future generations.
We are determined to confront some of the challenges we face today, and with your continued support, we shall overcome.
Let us continue to work together to build a stronger, prosperous and more resilient nation that will make Nigeria the pride of Africa.
Thank you all, and happy 74th birthday to me!

I join family, friends, and well-wishers to felicitate the co-founder of Andela, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, OON, on his 35th birthday anniversary today.
I celebrate Iyinoluwa for his many impressive achievements in enterprise and the innovation ecosystem at a young age. He is a great ambassador of our state and a shining role model to the younger ones.
Our administration owes Iyinoluwa a debt of gratitude for his keen commitment to educational advancement in our state. As a board member of the Kwara State Education Trust Fund, Iyin's efforts at mobilising funds and support for the programmes of the organisation, especially the Adopt-a-Child Initiative, do not go unnoticed and are well-appreciated.
I wish the Founder of Future Africa and former managing director of Flutterwave good health and more fulfilling years in career and leadership.
To God be all the glory for the gift of life and yet another birthday anniversary.
I celebrate you and i pray God gives you divine health, strength, joy and peace as you take Nigeria to her Eldorado of great wealth and opportunities.

President Tinubu Condoles with Nasir El-Rufai Over Mother’s Death in Cairo
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended heartfelt condolences to former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, who died today in Cairo, Egypt, after a prolonged illness.
In an official statement, President Tinubu described the late Hajiya Umma as a remarkable matriarch who lived a fulfilled life and raised children and grandchildren that have made significant contributions to Nigeria.
The President, who personally signed the message, said:
“Nasir, please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of your beloved mother, Hajiya Umma, which happened today in Cairo. As someone who had also lost an old mother, I share in your grief. I understand the depth of your loss.
Losing a mother is a pain unlike any other. I know that no words can fully ease your sorrow, but I pray that the memories of her love, wisdom, and guidance bring you comfort in the days ahead. I also hope you find strength in the remarkable life she lived and the values she instilled in the entire family.
As firm believers in Allah, we are convinced that she has played her part in this world as laid out for her by the Almighty and has gone back to her maker.
I join family, friends, and well-wishers in mourning with you. May Allah grant your dear mother Aljannah Firdaus.”
“This [Bola Tinubu] is a man I am willing to stake everything on.
...because he brought Nigeria back from the brink of economic collapse, when our net foreign reserves stood at barely $1 billion.
This is the only administration that has the shortest ASUU strike ever."
— Seyi Law praises President Tinubu for economic, educational, and infrastructural development.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, the matriarch of the El-Rufai family. I have fond memories of shared moments with her and her motherly care. At a time like this, words can offer little comfort for such a profound loss. My heartfelt condolences to Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and the entire family. May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, grant her eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus, and give the family the strength to bear this loss. - NR
