PRESIDENT TINUBU EXPRESSES SADNESS OVER THE DEATH OF RETIRED MAJOR-GENERAL ABUBAKAR, CONDOLES WITH THE FAMILY
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed shock over the death of retired Major-General Rabe Abubakar while in the custody of terrorists in Katsina State.
General Abubakar, after a distinguished career in the military, retired a few years ago. He was on his way to his hometown when the hoodlums captured him
The President commiserated with his family, especially his wife, who is still being held against her will by the captors.
He also extended his condolences to the Katsina State government and the armed forces.
While the terrorists have done their worst, the President wants them to know that the government will never bow to their demand to release their members held by our security agencies.
As I said on June 12: “Bandits, kidnappers, and sponsors of terror should now surrender or face the full force of the Nigerian State. These windows of surrender will not remain open forever. And no mercy will be shown to those who trade in the blood of Nigerians.
“As Nigerians, we must stand united and be assured that the enemies of our nation shall soon be history. We will triumph over terror and continue to build a more prosperous nation.
“General Abubakar’s death should further serve as a defining moment in our battle against terrorists and insurgents, never to negotiate with them on any terms, but to continue to treat them as the greatest enemies of our dear nation, who should never be spared.”

Government of Ghana’s strong reservations and high stakes diplomatic interventions following the Canadian Visa Refusal of Thomas Teye Partey of the Black Stars FIFA World Cup team.
@EverTheFrosty@Son_Of_Grace12@GuGi263 Why do you guys argue by insulting people unprovoked? Is it that you guys aren’t properly trained at home?
You can counter the above opinion in a civil manner devoid of insults.
For months, I was giving a girl in my church ₦30,000 every month to support her in school.
During the last holiday, I saw her in a very compromising situation with some boys.
I spoke to her about it and the conversation didn't go well.
Thinking I was doing the right thing, I informed her mother so she could advise her.
That same day, she sent me voice notes telling me not to think that because I give her ₦30,000 monthly, I can tell her how to live her life. She literally insulted me but I didn't reply.
A few days later, she started apologizing. I still didn't respond
Since returning to school last month, she has reached out several times asking if I can resume the monthly support.
I have forgiven her.
But I have not forgotten those voice notes.
Should I continue helping her or let it end here?
Please advise me
I’m still not over the fact that I passed PathPharm.
I actually passed?
As in, Oyindamola passed PathPharm?
I have checked that list to confirm my matric number at least 6 times in the last 3 days.
But I passed though🥹🥹🥳🥳🎊🎊🎊
“There’s conjugate deviation to the left and with Nystagmus”
“I think the patient has a cerebellar stroke, see she can’t even stand”
“Have we seen the imaging? What really could be causing this”
“Examine the CNS fully, I’m sure there’s something they missed before sending the consult”
After all arguments and examination back and forth.
“Encourage patient relatives to pay for CT scan, cont. ongoing mgt.”
When I told my colleagues that NICU was one of my best postings, they were all shocked cos we know the stress happening there.
It was my best cos I met an amazing consultant there (an SR at the time). She was very particular about caring for us. She’d always ask if we had eaten, she always appreciated our work and corrected us politely in the lounge not public.
When she comes in the morning, she must ask about who was on call the previous night and chase the person out of rounds to go have a 2 hour break before returning. Sometimes, she will have to document her rounds herself because after sending the HO to rest, she had just one other HO to work with.
She totally made me look forward to work everyday even though I’d stay till 6PM most days.
I was going to choose pediatrics cos of her till I woke up one night around 3AM in my house panicking and wondering why the baby in incubator 3 hadn’t been transfused.
God bless Dr. Funke wherever she is.
@iamikels Witnessed it like mad especially during HJ

Most other specialties are direct, not internal med
Glowing colors ke. Obanliku is the Local governmen that houses the Ranch resort, Obudu is the next local government after it, then there's Boki and there's Bekwarra.
The above local governments are within minutes to hours of each other. There's no functional General hospital in all four of them.
A woman died from PPH early this year at the Ranch. Her child was admitted at a private facility at Obudu. Politicians went to gift the family after the woman passed claiming to be sad that the incident happened.
But guess what? None of them spoke about trying to fix the hospital so another woman doesn't fall victim.
There's no healthcare in Cross River State
Dialysis is far.
Cross River State has 18 LGAs, with only two dialysis machines domiciled in Calabar.
The one at UCTH decides to work maybe for 2 days every alternate weeks.
During the time when it is down, the one at Navy might work for 5 days and pack up.
If that happens, all CKD patients will leave their hope on God or move to Makurdi or Enugu depending on which is close.
Internal medicine
They will argue amongst themselves, discuss recent management protocols, request all the investigation on earth and outcome most times doesn't change😂
