Last year we have seen an increase in transphobic murders worldwide, 2021 was the deadliest year with 375 trans people murdered worldwide. Despite only 9 months into this year, the data shows that this year could surpass last year.

On Friday, May 22nd 2015 Ireland voted yes in the marriage equality referendum. But marriage equality did not end discrimination against the LGBTQI+ Community. There has been significant progress in Ireland, but there is still much more work that needs to be done. 🏳️🌈 ✊

Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. The date of May 17th was specifically chosen to commemorate the World Health Organization’s decision in 1990 to declassify homosexuality as a mental disorder. There's still much more work to do! #IDAHOBIT
