In less than 24 hours, @iamharryliddell and I are running a workshop for men, helping them create more authentic, powerful friendships with other men.
Link is in bio to sign up, gents 🙏🏻 see you there.
😡 “Not all hurt people hurt people!”
🧐 Don’t they…?
Some people simply hurt themselves rather than others - you just might not see it.
Unless pain is felt, processed and healed, it will continue to cause damage either way.
If your first reaction to the collective suffering of others is indifference, or “what about X”, you are disconnected from your innate propensity for empathy.
You are in pain. Their suffering is triggering your suffering, and your need to have that suffering seen and tended to.
Community is one of the biggest healers.
Finding a safe space to not only be yourself, but be witnessed, accepted and celebrated by others for doing so is beyond powerful.
We all need our own tribe.
Men,
Drop the ego. Instead, adopt a curious approach to the things that you desire (success, great sex, connection, communication, knowing yourself).
You don’t know everything, and you’ll learn far more when you’re willing to accept this.
A friend said to me recently that he hadn’t been feeling like himself lately; for a few days he’d been feeling lonely, disconnected and like he didn’t really belong.
I asked him:
“Are those things ‘not like yourself’ or are they just things you don’t like?
Healing Tip:
Create a safe space to consciously explore the parts of yourself that you tend to keep hidden.
Rather than judging those parts, ask yourself “how could this be trying to keep me safe?”
