@oluwagbemigaptr Personally, I think it should be nail artist to showcase the creativity in nail designs. Technician sounds too far fetched but what do I know? 😹
As an engineer, that tech sounds too much because which problem are you resolving 😭??
I saw a Hausa guy selling oranges by the roadside on Sunday after church. He was peeling some and arranging them in trays in his wheelbarrow.
I wanted to make orange juice, so I told him to give me ₦15,000 worth of oranges (120 pieces). He looked at me like, “What do you want to do with 120 oranges?” I laughed and told him I needed them for something.
I was in a hurry, so I asked if he could peel all 120 for me. He said yes and promised he would be done in one hour, at most one hour thirty minutes.
I had never met this man before. I had literally just seen him by the roadside. So as I was leaving, he asked me to give him at least half the money first so he could be sure I would come back.
I understood where he was coming from, so I gave him 9,000 naira and told him I’d be back in one hour thirty minutes. I even asked if he’d still be at the same spot, and he said yes. I eventually came back after TWO HOURS.
This man was still there. My 120 oranges were completely peeled, properly packaged and ready for me. I was genuinely impressed.
I don’t know if it was because I was speaking Hausa with him 😂, but I’ve always known Hausa people to be very honest. Their yes is their yes. This man could have easily disappeared with my ₦9,000 or sold the oranges to someone else, but he stayed, did exactly what he promised and waited for me.
Very honest businessmen, honestly.
When I wanted to get married, I made a deliberate decision: I never took the engagement list given to me by my in-laws to my family members. I handled everything myself because I knew the kind of relationship and boundaries I wanted to establish from the beginning. I didn’t want a situation where my family would eventually start referring to my wife as “iyawo wa.”
A few years ago, we had a family function, and they requested that my wife come a day before the event after I had already contributed my share for the olópọ̀s. I said no.
I always remind my family: my wife is my wife, not “our wife.”
Setting boundaries in marriage requires a lot of responsibility from the man. You cannot expect your wife to have peace and independence in the marriage if you are constantly allowing your family to cross boundaries.
Sometimes, being the man of the house means having the courage to say NO, even when saying it may not make everyone happy.

I don't know why people are not getting this. Invest in your nakedness. When you remove your shirt and all, do you like what you see? If not, work out, eat right and fix it. That's investment.
Also, always wear good and clean boxers. Something may happen that will warrant people seeing your boxers.
We have a maintenance problem in Nigeria. Dora Akunyili laid the groundwork, she did the hard part. Oya maintain it. Problem.
Fashola too. Did good work in Lagos. Oya maintain. Issue.
If you are going to Ibadan right now or you are going towards Berger from Lagos, it will be more advantageous if you can sleep at your current location.
Sooo, I found out about another interesting psychological phenomenon today, and it’s really crazy how weird the brain is, and I’m lowkey wondering why i didn’t study psychology in the first place
Anyways, it is the Baader–Meinhof phenomenon and some people call it the frequency illusion. This is also going to be a thread again😭
