Victoria Police pepper sprayed, Tasered and arrested Brendan Nugent in Wangaratta in 2022, and the footage has now surfaced.

Officers were called to a report of a suspicious loiterer and found him armed with a garden stake, refusing to give himself up.

They used OC spray, then a Taser, arrested him and took him to hospital for assessment, and no charges were laid.

Four years later he's accused of driving a Land Cruiser into Helen Haines outside her electorate office, and the Indi MP has lost both legs.

On Wednesday Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Mike Bush stood in front of the cameras and told Australians his force had "no intelligence holdings" on Nugent.

His own officers had sprayed him, Tasered him, arrested him and driven him to hospital, and that arrest sat in Victoria Police's own records the whole time he said it.

Bush is now reviewing how Wangaratta police handled years of complaints from Nugent's neighbours, which means the force knew about him from two directions and still told the public it had nothing.

If the Chief Commissioner won't tell the real story about what his own force knew, how are we supposed to believe anything else Victoria Police claims about this case? Nugent hasn't entered a plea and none of the charges have been tested in court.

BREAKING: THREE KIDS. ONE HAMMER. A 55 YEAR OLD WOMAN. SYDNEY’S WEST JUST HIT A NEW LOW.

Two 11 year olds and a 12 year old allegedly stormed a store on Aurora Dr in Tregear at 4:15pm Saturday, threatened a 55 year old female employee with a hammer, and demanded cash before bolting.

Two hours later they came back for round two. A customer stepped in and they fled again.

Mount Druitt police tracked the trio to a nearby unit. One 11 year old charged with robbery while armed with an offensive weapon.

The other two charged with robbery in company. All refused bail in the Children’s Court today.

11 and 12 year olds carrying hammers and robbing shops. This isn’t “kids being kids.”

This is a system that has completely lost control.

The parents need to be held culpable and charged with negligence and the kids taken out of their care immediately.

This is unacceptable.

I wish we didn’t have to respond to this today. Our thoughts should be with Helen Haines, and praying for her speedy recovery.

But the Labor and Liberal Dirt Units are already back at work, attempting to use this tragedy to silence their critics and deflect from their own failings. Too many media organisations are happy to help them fling the dirt.

The Please Explain cartoons have nothing to do with the tragic attack on Helen Haines. They will not be going anywhere.

Liberal and Labor politicians want our cartoons censored because they don’t like the scrutiny.

Free speech, satire, criticism and debate are essential to our democracy. They must be protected.

Those seeking to exploit this tragedy to silence their critics should be ashamed of themselves.

What happened to Helen is heartbreaking. Politicians deserve to be safe. So does every other Australian.

When violence touches politicians, the response is immediate: more security, more protection and demands for action. Where is that same urgency when ordinary Australians are attacked?

Too many Australians have experienced violent home invasions, firebombings, machete and gun attacks and carjackings. Innocent Australians are being stabbed on the streets. They cannot call on a security detail. They rely on governments to keep their communities safe.

Where has the Prime Minister been? Where is his determination to confront the crime and violence regular Australians face?

One Nation will continue to hold the Albanese Labor government to account. We will keep speaking up for Australians whose safety and concerns have been ignored.

Melbourne again. A young Sudanese man, Lino Atem, 24, was savagely hacked to death by machete wielding rival African thugs at a Wyndham Vale reserve.

Stabbed and slashed, he died at the scene. His two mates were also wounded.

Seven African youths have now been charged with manslaughter after a 21 month investigation. Video of the arrests shows multiple males of African appearance.

This follows the horrific 2023 execution of his brother, Atem Atem, who was shot dead in his own driveway by three carloads of African gunmen who also gunned down his dog and another man.

Imported violence, imported feuds, imported failure.

Events like these raise critical questions about the current approach to immigration and community integration.

Many argue that current systems are failing to maintain public safety and social cohesion with immigrants point blank refusing to assimilate.

Communities deserve safety, and Anthony Albanese must address public concern over violent crime and immigration policies immediately.

But, as usual, he just doesn’t wanna hear it.

BREAKING: THE BIGGEST CLIMATE SCANDAL IN AUSTRALIAN HISTORY

The Albanese Labor Government has just been caught red handed. New forensic evidence suggests they are using a compromised Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) to fabricate a climate crisis that simply does not exist.

A explosive forensic audit led by investigator Tom Berger and retired scientist Geoff Sherrington has uncovered widespread, systematic errors and fake readings within the BOM’s raw climate data.

We aren’t talking about minor glitches, we are talking about copy and pasted data designed to make the past look cooler and the present look warmer.

The audit exposed blatant data manipulation at the Sydney Observatory:
•The Fabricated Data: Minimum temperatures from August 1907 were found completely duplicated and inserted into the August 1867 record.
•The Cover-Up: The Australian fact-checked the National Archives and confirmed this “double-up” does not exist in the original handwritten records. The online data used to justify sweeping climate policies is completely wrong.

For years, the BOM has operated on a “trust us” basis. Dr David Evans, the scientist who built Australia’s carbon accounting software, warns that this “secret climate business” mirrors the worst days of fraudulent medical drug trials, where researchers were under immense pressure to exaggerate results to fit a narrative.

Labor is terrified of an independent audit because they know their Net Zero house of cards will collapse if the public sees the real numbers.

Dr Jennifer Marohasy confirmed that outside of Adelaide, there has been no proper audit of Australia’s weather stations.

If our historical data is corrupted with fake inputs, the AI forecasting models used for future planning become entirely useless.

The Albanese Government doesn’t want the data audited because the data doesn’t support their narrative.

They are destroying our economy, killing our energy grid, and forcing Net Zero targets on regular Australians based on copy and pasted climate fiction.

The question is simple, if the records are sound, why is Labor so opposed to an independent audit?
