#FireEmblemFortunesWeave#FireEmblem Compiled new characters. Also here are some new details I gleaned from the reviews. I’ll try to avoid story/spoilers as much as possible. Proceed with caution regardless.
-The four protagonists are called the “Flame Lords”.
-The cast is absolutely massive we are still finding new characters scattered across all the footage. You can recruit characters very early and earlier in some perspectives than others. You can recruit characters from other factions. Presumably because everything will all converge in order to defeat Balor.
-Runs at 30 FPS with no option for quality/performance mode. Graphics are WAY better than Three Houses but you’ll still find a couple bad textures here and there.
-The “routes” are incredibly diverse and feel very different(gimmicks, puzzles quests) Yet they run parallel as we know so it’s better to think of them as playing from completely different perspectives of a single overarching narrative. Tons of character specific dialogue that changes based on the perspective you are playing from. It will help flesh characters out just a smidge.
-Eshmel will interfere at parts of the story to save the Flame Lords like a guardian angel but these instances don’t seem to be gameplay focused. They are dialogue/cutscene focused scenes. These moments still remain from the perspective of Flame Lord you are playing as. Eshmel can do similar “tea time” gameplay from Three Houses except the oddity of trying to rizz the characters while we are in fat chud bird form(Pale Raven form) Presumably this allows Eshmel to build up support points despite likely not being playable during the past portions of the game.
-There is only one save slot, but you go back in time to replay any chapter or redo any actions you did. Naturally with only one save slot you can play all 4 routes in one play-through. I’m not particularly happy with this decision ngl. Best hope for more save slots is to hope they add them in a free update. I’m unsure how a single save would factor in the potential of marriage or paired endings being in the game.
-(SPOILER) It does seem we will fight undead versions of characters in ruined future(the example I saw was a spoiler so I’ll refrain from saying, just trust me.) Unsure if this dependent on if you don’t save/recruit characters. Or if you will have to fight them regardless. Allowing for some similar mirror-match scenarios like the Fell Xenologue from Engage.
