Watched #Peddi last night. Mind-blowing performance by my dear @AlwaysRamCharan.
A Gritty, raw performance, extraordinary body transformation, and graceful dance moves. He absolutely aced it in every aspect. Genuinely very proud of my brother. Truly deserves every bit of the applause.
Striking performance by @IamJagguBhai garu and all the other artists. Love to the leading lady, #JanhviKapoor.
Compliments to all the technicians and producers.
My warm regards to the captain of the ship, @BuchiBabuSana garu, for elevating everyone and putting Charan garu on a high pedestal.
Congratulations to the entire team of #Peddi !
Getting abused for my unconditional support of #Peddi...no, nobody paid me to praise Peddi...Ram Charan's dedication did it for me.Wish the film was kinder to Janhvi Kapoor. And yes,at a time when duds are being declared hits,Peddi is a true winner.Jai Hind.

#Peddi, #RamCharan Is The Real Dhurandhar
Rating: ****
For my time and money, Ram Charan is the most dedicated mainstream actor in Indian cinema. And I say this only on the basis of Peddi. His performance as a rural athlete is do dedicated and passionate, I just wanted to give the actor a standing ovation .In comparison Ram Charan in RRR seems like a teaser trailer.
Normally, big mainstream actors when called to perform the rise-from-the-ashes trope, tend to bend their histrionics—for whatever they may be worth—only to play to the https://t.co/bPekpdzPs6 Peddi, Ram Charan goes beyond the applause to search for the darkest recesses of a character who is born to dieun sung.
But then God and A R Rahman have other plans.
“After all, you only live once,” Peddi tells his friends, a motley crew of faceless, nameless villagers in an anonymous village which has only one ambition: for a train to stop for just a minute .
The railway track plays a pivotal part in the breathless proceedings. It defines the characters, none more so than the eponymous Peddi. The role is one of the best written for a superstar in Indian cinema. Ram Charan does full justice to it. He brings a primeval passion to Peddi’s part, playing him as both a victim and hero, sometimes simultaneously .
It is an astonishing performance, unequalled by anything I’ve seen by an upfront superstar of cinema, including Ranveer Singh in the over-hyped Dhurandhar.
Here is an actor and performance that stride the feral mood of narration with an arresting fluency. When put in the athletic mode Ram Charan is pure animal. He wrestles with a forthrightness that makes Aamir Khan in Dangal look like a body trouble.
Ram Charan is forceful and deeply moving when speaking of his character’s quest for identity and why that is of far more importance to him than winning a gold medal.
Much of this impassioned film’s cogency depends on the central performance. However it would be unfair to the film if we ignore its storytelling excellence . Director Buchi Babu Sana takes some time to come to grips with proceedings. Part of the blame goes to Janhvi Kapoor whose bosom-jutting act is a distraction.
By the time we arrive at midpoint the mood of the narration is comfortably ensconced in a confident blend of entertainment and social statement.Peddi has a lot to say about neglecting sports and sportsmen in our country. The finger wagging tone gets noticeable when Boman Irani is on screen.
Ram Charan and some of the supporting cast, especially Jagapathi Babu as a villager who devotes his life to getting that one train to stop in his village , make a huge contribution to giving Peddi the feel and texture of an epic, even when the drama gets too thick to be effective. The shocking twist at the end is hard to digest. But only if we fail to follow what the film is trying to say all along: it’s not an easy world for the https://t.co/vO9KEeHWVC takes a privileged actor to take that message to the last row.
#RamCharan is outstanding in #Peddi.
His screen presence, energy and performance make the film a complete entertainer. Just wow! Every scene featuring him leaves a strong impact.
Buchi's direction is superb and AR's music adds soul to the film.
4⭐/5
Don’t miss it.

#OneWordReview...
#Peddi: POWERFUL.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️½
A sports drama with its share of highs and lows... Its biggest strength is #RamCharan's memorable performance + several terrific moments... Screenplay could've been tighter and the runtime shorter. #PeddiReview
After making an impressive directorial debut with the well-crafted and hugely successful #Uppena, director #BuchiBabuSana returns with an unconventional, content-driven film in his second outing, #Peddi.
The film doesn't follow the tried-and-tested masala template, but at the same time, it attempts to cram a little too much into its 3-hour-plus runtime.
A sports drama needs awe-inspiring moments, and #Peddi certainly delivers on that front... The cricket matches in the first half, the kushti training sessions and competitions, and of course, the penultimate race sequence are all exceptionally executed.
That said, there are loose ends as well... The romantic track is a major letdown, while several sequences feel stretched and some seem unnecessary... A shorter runtime was the need of the hour.
Even the item song in the second half evokes strong #Pushpa vibes, which wasn't really required.
#Peddi rests largely on #RamCharan's shoulders, and the actor delivers a sparkling, stunning, award-worthy performance... It's a physically demanding role that also demands a high emotional quotient – not an easy combination to pull off – but #RamCharan is simply smashing.
#JanhviKapoor's character deserved stronger writing and a more impactful presentation... Dr #ShivaRajkumar is fantastic, #JagapathiBabu is rock-solid, while #Divyenndu delivers a competent performance.
#BomanIrani, #RaviKishan, and #UpendraLimaye lend solid support.
#ARRahman's music works well, with #Chikiri standing out... The background score is electrifying, while #RRathnavelu's cinematography is top-notch... The #Hindi dubbing is very good.
⭐ Final word? The buzz for #Peddi in the #Hindi markets is currently on the lower side, and its boxoffice prospects will depend heavily on positive word of mouth... The #Telugu version, meanwhile, is expected to dominate the business.
