Asset managers are extremely bullish:

Net $VIX futures positioning among asset managers is down to -$1.0 billion, the lowest in at least 10 years.

Short volatility bets have now surpassed the August 2024 peak before the Volatility Index, $VIX, exploded +280%, to 65 points, the highest since the 2020 pandemic.

At the same time, hedge fund $VIX futures positioning is down to -$42.7 million, the lowest since August 2024 and the 2nd-lowest on record.

Positioning shifted from neutral to net short over the last several weeks, marking a sharp reversal in the sentiment.

Meanwhile, US hedge fund gross leverage, which tracks total long and short exposure, rose to a record 223%, marking the 3rd consecutive weekly increase.

Are we due for a surge in volatility?

BREAKING: Gold futures extend gains to +$130/oz on the day, now up +3.3%, hitting a record $4,130/oz.

Gold has now added nearly +$1 trillion in market cap today.

BREAKING: US home values saw month-over-month declines in 61% of US counties in April, the most since 2022.

This percentage has TRIPLED over the last few months, according to Reventure.

Outside of 2022, such an elevated share was last seen in the 2007-2010 period.

However, difference between 2022 and now is that the current housing inventory is 2.5 times higher.

All while there are 33.7% more sellers than buyers, the biggest difference in at least a decade.

The US Dollar is plummeting:

The US Dollar Index, $DXY, fell 3.5% last week, the second-largest drop since the 2020 pandemic.

The index is now on track for the third consecutive monthly decline.

The majority of the decrease was driven by the Euro, which strengthened 4.7% against the USD, its biggest rise since 2009.

Even as the trade war has escalated, the US Dollar is losing momentum.

Another sign of a historic year ahead.

In Pakistan, a small innocent child, Ammar, passed away while waiting for his father. Ammar's father, Mian Ibad Farooq, is in jail for being named in a case. Ammar became mentally ill after his father's arrest.The police and law enforcement agencies raided Ammar's house to arrest his mother and grandmother.
Ammar used to tremble with fear whenever he heard the name of the police. Ammar lost his mental balance due to constant harassment by the police. After being in a state of coma for a long time, Ammar finally left this world today and went to his God. But now some insensitive people are calling Ammar's death as natural death.

We ask this question: Who is responsible for making a healthy, laughing child mentally ill?
Has humanity disappeared or compassion has disappeared from our hearts?

A son has died longing to see a glimpse of his father. 😭😭😭
