If Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III is removed as Senate President today, then let us stop pretending this is about “leadership change.” This is political surrender.

Senator Alan Cayetano’s bloc is making one thing clear — they would rather protect the Dutertes than defend the Constitution and the independence of the Senate.

History will remember the senators who chose loyalty to power over loyalty to the Filipino people.

Dear Senator Marcoleta,

For a sitting senator, masyado po kayong balat-sibuyas. If you don’t want to be criticized, why did you run tor public office?

You labeled my posts as “disinformation.” Let’s review:

1. It is NOT disinformation that Guteza’s notary is fake. The lawyer herself said she never signed nor notarized that affidavit.

2. It is NOT disinformation that Guteza lied under oath when he swore the notarization was real. It was not.

3. It was “humor” when I posted, Can’t wait for Season 2 of “Marcoleta Coaches Guteza.”

Really, no other senator “coaches” surprise witnesses who arrive with a pre-written affidavit.

If that was not coaching, what do we call it… mentoring?

Before calling my posts “disinformation”, try “information” first. 🙄

With this statement alone, it seems as though the Vice President doesn’t know that she’s accountable to all Filipinos and not just the 32 million who voted for her. And I refuse to believe that all those 32 million Filipinos will let her get away with her questionable expenditures of public funds in both the Office of the Vice President and the Department of Education during her reign.

I find the comparison of votes as the sole basis of argument as desperate and ridiculous. So anyone with less votes cannot question the Vice President? What kind of argument is that?

As elected representatives of their respective districts and sectors, the Young Guns have every bit of right and in fact it is their responsibility to call out the Vice President especially when it involves billions of taxpayers' money. Yes! Billions of questionable expenditures.

According to the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability, records show that:

-COA disallowed 60% of the 125M confidential funds in 2022. That’s 73 million pesos!
-In 2022 and 2023, only 10% of the allocated fund was cleared without issue. 10%! Meaning 500 million is still questionable.
-The 19.22%low  utilization rate of ICT equipment budget in 2023, something we are in dire need of
- COA questioned 67M out of 125M confidential funds in Q1 2023, 62M out of 125M in Q2 2023 and 35M out of 125M in Q3 2023.

And this is just some of the long list of questionable expenditures of the Vice President, all substantiated and all have basis. Other issues like the questions in bidding in the Department of Education causing us billions of savings as raised by Rep. Bongalon, the Mag-negosyo ka 'day’s very low utilization rate, the bloated rental rate of the satellite offices amongst other things.

Although it is true that other government agencies also have notice of disallowances etc. but not this much…  It is either the Vice President committed graft/plunder (I think it is over 50 Million) or she is just really that incompetent as she cannot utilize the budget in accordance with the regulations and limitations of public funds expenditures.

Also, I do not usually pay attention to the arguments that are obviously wrong but I figured that’s how the Dutertes flourish so let me just say. ALL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES including the Office of the President, the Senate and the House of Representatives go through the same audit process as the Vice President. They were and still are under scrutiny with the same provisions, regulations and limitations as the Office of the Vice President.

The only difference? They do not have the pattern of questionable expenditures like Sara Duterte does.

How the Dutertes are trying to divert your attention

There’s a reason why the senators are scared to call out the Dutertes and their allies — because when they do, they will be subject to below the belt, unsubstantiated and relentless online attacks.

Because there’s no way to defend the Dutertes in all the issues they’re involved with, just like and how they always do… they are now exerting all the efforts to divert our attention elsewhere. I’m convinced that all these, including meeting with a known political rival, former Vice President Leni Robredo, is just a way for us to stop talking about the issues involving VP Sara, her family and their allies.

I have to hand it to the Vice President, she successfully made the news and headlines about her refusal to take an oath, her claims about impeachment and not being friends with the president (who wants to be friends with her anyway). But the truth of the matter is, the House Committee on Good Governance established a lot of crucial facts and so forgive me for pivoting the conversation back to what matters.

Although I also watched the hearing in its entirety but how Rep. Rodge Gutierrez in an ambush interview summarized the things we need to worry about the Vice President’s expenditures is worth reading:

“When the same justifications are presented year after year for millions of pesos in taxpayer money, it raises serious questions about whether these funds are truly being used as intended or merely being spent without proper oversight.  “This repeated pattern opens the door for further audit scrutiny, and it’s only a matter of time before COA issues a formal Notice of Disallowance for the P375 million 2023 budget.”

I do not know how their supporters would explain the overwhelming links, evidence, witnesses of issues like human trafficking, illegal POGOs, money-related matters, illegal drugs amongst other things. Just to name a few:

1. Atty. Harry Roque who is now in hiding is connected to a lot of things concerning the POGO personalities and companies in question.
2. The Dutertes defended Pastor Apollo Quiboloy who is now facing charges filed against him. Cases of heinous crimes if I may add.
3. The former PCSO General Manager Garma
4. The recently arrested former budget undersecretary Lao
5. Former PNP Chief and now Senator Bato dela Rosa connection to the extrajudicial killings now being investigated in the lower house.
6. Former SAF and now Senator Bong Go (cases filed in courts)
I know this is a much much longer list and you can add yours in the comment section if you like. But all these do have documentary evidence and an overwhelming number of witnesses.

Before we turn our heads to where the known Duterte social media users are pointing… demand answers to the questions of importance. Demand answers from the Dutertes or vote them out of their respective offices.
