Trinity Christian enters a new chapter under first-year head coach Trey Haverty, who takes over with a focus on toughness and discipline in the trenches. The Trojans bring back a wealth of size and experience up front, with Ivy League prospect Collin Kilgore @C_Kilgore54 and veteran center Kieffer Barclay @RecruitKieffer leading one of the largest offensive lines in TAPPS. Quarterback Hunter Flatt @HunterFlatt9 returns after throwing for nearly 1,900 yards and 23 touchdowns, giving TCA a steady presence under center. With Haverty emphasizing line play and leadership, the Trojans have the pieces to be more competitive in 2025, but consistency across all phases will determine whether they can compete in the toughest TAPPS district.

🔹 Loaded O-Line: Sophomore transfer Colt Yelland @ColtYelland (6’2, 285), senior Collin Kilgore @C_Kilgore54 (6’9, 305), and senior Kieffer Barclay @RecruitKieffer (6’0, 295) anchor a front line that should be among the best in TAPPS. Junior Brandon Lankford adds depth to a unit that gives TCA both size and athleticism.
🔹 Elite DT tandem: TCA may boast the most underrated pair of defensive tackles in TAPPS. Senior Aiden Coppage @Aidenn_76 and junior Kayden Daniels @K_Daniels59 are very good D1 FBS caliber prospects, bringing rare speed and dominance to the interior.
🔹 Quarterback continuity: Flatt’s 2024 production showcased his ability as a classic drop-back passer, capable of commanding the offense and stretching defenses vertically. His experience, paired with sophomore Davis Crumrine @DavisCrumrine — featured in our Five You Should Know: 2028 Quarterbacks series — provides the Trojans with valuable stability at the position.
🔹 Reliable playmaking options: Senior WR Chase Griffin is a dynamic weapon who could emerge as one of the district’s best, giving Flatt an outstanding go-to target. Senior RB Campbell Laible @CampbellLaible adds balance as a physical, talented runner, while sophomore LB/TE Walker Zolfo @WalkerZolfo continues to develop into a versatile piece for the offense. With new OC Colby Cameron @ColbyCameronTCA designing the attack, expectations are for a much more explosive offense in 2025.

👀 Things to Watch
🔹 New defensive standouts: In addition to the dominant interior, TCA adds junior LB Josh Hammons @JoshuaHammons27, a transfer from Allen who is expected to be a major contributor in the front seven. Senior CB Jude Tredennick provides proven coverage ability to a secondary that otherwise remains young and untested.
🔹 Developing depth at skill positions: Beyond Griffin, much of the receiving corps is still developing, meaning younger players will need to step up for balance in the passing game.
🔹 Closing the district gap: Haverty’s squad should show significant improvement and has the talent to battle for the district’s fourth playoff spot. Competing with the “big three” will be a challenge, but the strength up front and improved offensive explosiveness provide a foundation to build on.
