NEW: A judge officially denies Lindsay Clancy's motion for a not guilty verdict.
The judge says there was sufficient evidence for a reasonable juror to conclude that Clancy murdered her children.
#Jemesouviens#Quebec
Something that is weird is that they are making like it is Europe vs USA. We can have agreements with both at the same time. Loool. Carney is not doing anything against the US, but for Canada. And when will like to have a fair hearing will talk with them too. Building tie with Europe does not means breaking tie with the US. As you want to make us think.
We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so.
Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training.

If they truly believe the risk is that high, and I think they do, then we need 100x more research and understanding of it. That requires them to openly share their models, datasets, training code, and agent traces.
this is what i was talking about earlier
when you're young you try to design the perfect system with neat rules that guarantee stability
eventually you learn that real stability comes from messy, organic, bottom up systems that feel chaotic and uncomfortable
sounds wild to let everyone have full access to this stuff but it's probably the only thing that will actually work
The more I started learning about AI the more I was afraid of it. When you start thinking about how they pushed the frontiers model every year and what was capable of doing. You are afraid. Where we are, I think AI is mature enough to help humanity. I mean LLM, where it is going I don’t know what is their goal. But I tell you it is frightening. This is why I will never be okay that a set of company keep the “knowledges” of it to protect humanity, because that same thing that can attack might be our first défense against itself.
I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.
