The Word of God is given to us as the Word of life, which transforms, renews, and does not judge in order to condemn, but heals and has forgiveness as its aim. A Word that is light for our steps!
No matter the situation, be gentle. Gentleness lets you turn inward to allow a caring space that is free of judgment. It is opening your heart to receive more light of understanding & compassion. An open heart submits to God. And therein lies your strength.
In this Sunday's Gospel (Mt 10:26-33) Jesus invites us not to be afraid, to be strong and confident in the face of life's challenges, because even when we encounter setbacks, our lives rest firmly in God’s hands, who loves us and takes care of us.
Take risks. These may bring unpleasant consequences but God uses them to teach you, grow you, & remind you of His grace. He balances your life by giving you enough good things to bless you & enough not-so-good ones to keep you grounded in humility. Learn.
In the Eucharist, Jesus draws close to us. Let us not turn away from those around us, those who hunger for food and dignity, those without work, and those who struggle to carry on. Genuine closeness is needed, as are true bonds of solidarity. https://t.co/aFYP6HCrbX
I urge international bodies and those who have political and military responsibilities to search for a path to peace in #Libya. I pray for the thousands of migrants, refugees and internally displaced persons and call on the international community to take their plight to heart.
God knows how weak our memory is, so He has done something remarkable: He left us a memorial. He left us Bread in which He is present, alive and true, with all the flavour of His love.
God has given you talents and skills and time sufficient for you to put your life together. He brings you people with same dreams as you have to stir the dreams He puts in your heart. He grows and sets you out that you may help others grow, too.
“Stretch forth your hand to the poor” (Sir 6:7). Age-old wisdom has proposed these words as a sacred rule to be followed in life. https://t.co/VrlvpZZc47
