- Chat UI in SwiftUI: Flip ScrollView with scaleEffect(y: -1), flip each item back, reverse array manually, fight keyboard safe area for hours

The "declarative" experience is not equal 😅

Didn’t realise it was a lala company until I did.

Was hiring for them.
2 backend engineers.
30L CTC each.
Contract signed by the CEO.
Working with the COO (came through a friend).

Interviews went smooth.
2 candidates locked.
Everything looked done.

Offer stage comes.
And then… silence.

HR disappears.
Candidates follow up.
I follow up.
Reply: “management approval pending.”
I ask the CEO.

She says it’s with the directors.
Directors are traveling.
Somehow always traveling.

I finally reach one director and ask straight:
any blocker on rolling both offers?

He says they’re not hiring 2.
Says the compensation is way out of budget.

I remind him:
your team approved this.
your CEO took interview rounds.
the contract is already signed.

He says he’ll “set things straight” internally.
Then tells me to send a legal notice.
At that point, it was clear.

They still wanted to hire 1 candidate.
We said no.

Placed both candidates into better companies instead.

Only lesson here:
Avoid such lala companies if you can.

@github_skydoves I might also add that this data inherently might be biased towards the latest version, since everyone answering is either a top of their craft engineer, or someone wanting to be.
