28 LIFE LESSONS WORTH SHARING
1. No one has it all figured out.
2. Being nice is overrated, be kind, be fair, be understanding.
3. To love is to be vulnerable, let your guard down.
4. Good or Bad, you can learn from everybody.
As a collector, I genuinely hope Microsoft doesn’t follow the same fully digital path that Sony has taken. There’s just something special about owning physical games. 😮💨
I was having breakfast in my hotel today when an American asked me about Zambia🇿🇲.
I explained that we have 10 provinces compared to their 50 states:
Lusaka = a mix of New York + the Washington metropolitan area (DMV). Government, finance, embassies, deal-making, networking and everyone acting “busy.”
Southern = Texas + California. Cattle, farming, big land, quiet money, business-minded people, and Victoria Falls & Lake Kariba carrying the tourism economy.
Copperbelt = Michigan + Pennsylvania. Industrial backbone. Mining towns. Old money. Union vibes. People who remember when the economy was “serious.”
North-Western = Alaska. Rich in natural resources, sparsely populated, and everyone believes the future is there.
Western = Louisiana. Strong cultural identity, flood plains, proud traditions, and its own rhythm entirely.
Eastern = Iowa + Kansas.
Agriculture, hardworking people, and quietly influential politically.
Central = Ohio.
Right in the middle of everything. Farms, transport links, mining, logistics. The “swing province” energy.
Northern = Washington.
Rain, greenery, lakes, waterfalls and underrated natural beauty.
Muchinga = Colorado.
Mountains, scenery, adventure, wilderness and people forgetting how beautiful it actually is.
Luapula = Minnesota + a little Florida fishing-town energy. Water everywhere. Fish economy. Relaxed pace of life. Hidden tourism potential.
Zambia is basically America compressed into 10 provinces… just with better weather, less stress, nshima, fewer lights and highways. 🇿🇲
Some guy at the gym every morning 6am.
He takes the 45lb plates, all of them.
He loads one bar and he does one rep and sits for 20 minutes.
Then unloads and he leaves, he does this everyday.
We hated him, and nicknamed him the plate dragon.
People started coming in at 5:45 to beat him. He'd just wait smiling and he would take them at 6.
One rep, sit then leaves.
I finally asked him Bro what are you doing?
Recently at the office I was doing a routine review of CCTV footage when I noticed something unusual. Every time a certain security guard reported for duty, he went to the same hidden corner for a few minutes.
I decided to zoom in and noticed the man was on his knees praying before starting his shift. I won’t lie, that moved me 🥹
Sometimes life gives you unexpected glimpses into the quiet lives of people around you. The security guard many pass without noticing might be carrying a deep sense of purpose, discipline and gratitude before he even clocks in.
It reminded me that before guarding the building, he first entrusts the day to God.
The next time I physically met him, I greeted him with a slightly different level of respect in my heart 🙏
Any driver will tell you driving on a rainy night is the most challenging thing .But there are people on the same night with big boy vehicles that will pass you at high speed with the help of their lane assist and high beams. There are those with old cars but they have been using that road frequently they know every pothole and bump this will pass you and disappear while you struggle. There are others that have big cars but they can't see, this will move at your speed and even be behind you to copy Paste your moves all their advantages count for nothing. By the road side you will see some who have given up completely and have parked their cars . This is the analogy of life .
Today I met a 12 year old who was amazed to see a tea bag ( the one with the little string on it) He was sooo amazed he carried it to go show his 9 year old sister, He said “ Nifuna nimulangize masamba yali nakatambo” He laughed and then said “ Uhmm but muzungu nimukali zoona”

Only in Zambia will you find people adopting the title “Honourable” long before they’ve been elected or officially sworn into Parliament or any other recognized public office.
Penuel leaving Konvo is hands down the worst news I’ve received this year so far 💔. He brought a rare mix of top-tier audio, clean visuals, maturity and actual intellect to the podcast space. That kind of balance is hard to find and even harder to replace. Big loss.
Not too long ago, Multichoice was pushing for Netflix to be regulated in South Africa. If that lobbying effort had actually been approved, how would they be dealing with this upcoming merger now? Things are really starting to look bleak for Multichoice.
