Just tagged the beta release of Inertia Modal for @reactjs, which has complete feature parity with the @vuejs version 🚀
Due to high demand, I will work on base route/url support this week, as well as compatibility with @inertiajs v2.0 (and the Table package)! 🔥
Make sure your Laravel events have the SerializesModels trait added to them -- otherwise your queued listeners will have out-of-date attributes that may have been modified while the job was waiting in the queue 🚨
Our mission is to get an Inertia 2.0 beta in your hands by the end of next week. 🫡
- Prefetching
- Deferred props
- Lazy components
- Polling
- Easy infinite scrolling
It's good. ❤️
I published the beta release of Inertia Modal 🔥
For now, it's just the Vue version. Next week, I'll release the React version. You can find the repo, docs, and examples in the posts below 👇
@JackEllis Ship what has been built so far and then get rid of the tech debt gradually. 🤔 You might forget it exists, unless it's a burden for future updates.
Sometimes, you may have a scheduler that runs every X minutes to process records in the database by dispatching them to the job queue. You need to track which jobs have been dispatched to avoid duplicate entries in the queue, especially if those jobs take some time or go through multiple steps.
In #Laravel, you can resolve this by implementing the ShouldBeUnique interface.
If your domain is proxied through Cloudflare, and you are using R2 and public bucket, don't forget to do the following:
1. Setup a custom domain for your bucket (better to make it as a subdomain like assets.yourdomain) this will automatically add a CNAME record under DNS settings.
2. Add caching rule to cache any assets loaded from the subdomain.
This will save you from hitting the origin server and instead load the assets from the Cloudflare caching network
TIL #Laravel Herd can handle subdomain routes in local development pretty well.
Just run "herd link app.project" on your project root and you can access it at "app.project.test"
